Big news just hit both the social media and the PUBG Mobile fans around the globe. With the ending of the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2021 (PMWI) today, the fans don’t have to wait much longer as the biggest tournament in Mobile Esports history is going to take place soon. The announcement of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship PMGC 2021 came from James Yang, Director of PUBG Mobile Esports, who has revealed various details such as Tournament format, Prize pool, and more. However, there is no announcement regarding how the Indian teams will make their way to PMGC 2021. It’ll be much interesting to see how the top teams from India start their fight in global events.


PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021: Tournament format

The tournament will be held in two stages. Like the season zero of PMGC, there is a league part and a final part. The league play will be held from November to December 2021. The finals will be held on January 2022. Best teams from every PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) will participate directly by the total points of two seasons. This will include PMPL league point and final point. Also, PMPL Regional Championships such as PMPL EMEA and PMPL SEA, in the second half of a year will promote top teams to PMGC.

 Teams that did not participate in the last PMPL can still participate if they show great performance in the upcoming Regional Championship. Detailed information of teams and the number of slots will be announced later.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) will feature a stunning $6,000,000 USD prize pool. This is the biggest in any single tournament in mobile esports history. Even all the PUBGM tournaments from 2020 did not have this much amount to offer for the champion team. The PMGC season zero featured a total of $2M USD.


PMCO Fall Split 2021 announced

This is the stage for the underdogs and emerging teams to perform their best and capture a slot for the pro leagues of their respective regions. PMCO Fall Split 2021 is also going to be held soon where the total prize pool is set to $2 Million USD.

The first season of PMGC which is known as Season 0 was set to be played as a LAN event. But, the COVID-19 situations disrupted the event and the teams compete in the tournament from their hotels. Nova Esports became the champions of Season Zero and bagged USD 700k. PUBGM fans from every corner of the world will be eagerly waiting to see the thrilling action from the top teams. It’ll be interesting to see which team can become the champion and take this massive amount home.
