PUBG Mobile has announced an exciting collaboration with the University of Southern California’s top-ranked USC Games program. Together, they’ll integrate the game’s co-creation platform, World of Wonder, into the Games as a Service & Live Operations Class running from January to May 2026.
Prepare to shape your game creator journey with this amazing partnership
So, from January 2026, PUBG Mobile’s UGC platform, World of Wonder, will be a key part of USC’s Games as a Service and Live Operations (GLO) course. As students, you can use WOW as a hands-on creation tool, build your own creative projects, and receive live feedback from PUBG Mobile players.
Honestly, this is one of the many collaborations that remind me how far gaming has really evolved, not just in entertainment, but now into a platform for learning. It’s really nice to see that both parties aim to expand students’ professional practice and career opportunities.
Top-performing students can showcase their projects at the 2026 USC Games Expo
This partnership will open doors for aspiring students, as students from the course will get the chance to showcase their projects at the annual USC Games Expo in May 2026, along with internship interview opportunities lined up for summer 2026 for top students. So, if you’re a passionate creator, try your best.
And if you didn’t know, PUBG Mobile has already worked with more than 50 universities worldwide, giving students access to specialized knowledge, internships, and even career pathways. What’s more impressive is that over 4.4 million maps have already been created by players in WOW, racking up over 33 billion matches.
Plus, with the recent Version 1.0 update this September and an upgraded incentive ecosystem with $10 million creator prize pool, the game is clearly making a statement to make game creation more accessible to everyone. I hope they bring this program to more regions.
