Meelfoy Games, an independent video game studio based in the United Arab Emirates, has released Rocky Towers, its first mobile game. The new iOS and Android games prioritize accessibility and fair monetization. It’s a unique blend of puzzle and tower defense with tactical RPG features.

While the horrible Void attacks the youthful Lightspawn, there are four heroes, four distinct skills, and one tower composed of far too many bricks to list. It is now up to the player to save them from their impending death. Rocky Towers is a new mobile game that prioritizes accessibility and equitable monetization.

Rocky Towers creates a healthy ecosystem for its players

Meelfoy Games is shaking up the Free-to-Play business with Rocky Towers, taking measures to shield their customers from predatory dark patterns and malpractices while providing entertaining and simple to play games. All purchases at Rocky Towers, for example, are limited. A user cannot spend any more money that week once they have purchased all of the presently available packs in the game shop.

By including an energy system, Rocky Towers also tries to safeguard players from spending an excessive amount of time in order to progress in the game, while simultaneously allowing them to play for enjoyment if they like.

Make strategic choices using your heroes power in Rocky Towers

Making strategic decisions is fundamental to the universe of Rocky Towers. Players may pick from 20 different heroes, each with their own special power, to create the ideal team cohesion before entering one of the 100 stages. To save the young Lightspawn trapped beneath the tower, the player must carefully remove brick after brick and use the heroes’ abilities wisely to construct a safe route for them.

The aim is simple: save as many Lightspawn as possible before the tower collapses or the Void defeats all heroes. A player can gain more stars by saving more Lightspawn. While just one star is required to advance to the next level, players who acquire three stars receive the most gold, which they may use to enhance and augment their heroes.

But that’s not all: all players may compete against one another in the weekly event challenge The Giant Tower in which players compete for priceless gems that can be spent in the game shop by climbing to the top of the scoreboard. Key features and benefits of Rocky Towers:

  • Accessible first – Easy to learn, and only four buttons are needed to play
  • Short sessions on the go – One level takes less than two minutes to complete
  • Strategic choices – Choose the best hero synergies and remove the right bricks
  • Long-term adventure – Venture into 100 levels, participate in ongoing game events
  • High replay value – Levels are never played the same and can be repeated for a higher score
  • Compete against others – Climb to the top of the leaderboard to claim gems
  • Ethical gameplay – Fair and transparent monetization and the player’s time is valued

Founder and CEO Elio Polizzi dedicated himself to combating predatory dark patterns in the Free-to-Play video game industry by forming Meelfoy Games in 2021, an independent video game studio focused on creating ethical mobile games that are accessible and fun to everyone, after spending ten years working for formidable game publishers like Ubisoft as a Game Designer and Live Operations Manager.
