Tencent Games’ Roco Kingdom: World brings its creature bonding MMORPG gameplay to China on March 26, 2026

MoreFun Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, has revealed that its pet-collection MMORPG, Roco Kingdom: World, will launch in China on March 26, 2026. This is independently developed by MoreFun Studios, and the announcement was made during their 15th Anniversary livestream. It previously opened pre-registrations for China on iOS this August.

So, we finally have a confirmed launch date for Roco Kingdom: World, and honestly, even though it’s not global yet, this makes me feel like we’re getting closer. This open-world MMORPG was first revealed in 2022 and held multiple tests, including the offline one in 2023, the first CBT in 2024, and it now looks ready.

So, soon you’ll be to playing as a freshman in the lively Roco Kingdom universe, which is filled with adorable creatures called Rocos. Here, you can collect them, bond with them, and set off on new adventures. For me, the wait is worth it because this is a sequel to Mr. Enzo Zhang‘s Roco Kingdom IP.

And I’m confident this title will pop off in China and eventually globally, too, just like the original browser game did back in the past. I mean, one of its strongest appeals is the beautiful blend of classic Pokémon-style creature collecting with the open-world exploration that reminds me of Genshin Impact.

That said, we global players will have to wait a long time. Still, I think it’s better this way as I want the devs to take their time polishing everything before it releases, as with its diverse biomes, fun battles, adorable characters, and more, the game looks very promising.

Roco Kingdom: World is launching in China on March 26, 2026, and you can now pre-register for the game via the App Store. There are no details available yet on Android pre-registration or global launch, so stay tuned for updates!
