Rotaeno to enter its first closed beta test in selected regions

The test will be held exclusively through TapTap

Rotaeno is a new mobile rhythm game designed for mobile devices by Dream Engine and it is set to have a closed beta test. The game features innovative controls where players won’t simply tap the screen following the music, but also tilt it around in order to match the visual cues.

The developer defines it as “the world’s first rotary music rhythm game that makes clever use of mobile gyroscopes” and that’s indeed the selling point of the game. A closed beta test for the game will be held in March 2022 before the game enters the final stages of development.

How to register for the Rotaeno closed beta test

For a headstart, the recruitment/registration for the closed beta test will end on 29 March 2022 at 03:00 PST. Players need to register themselves before that and the closed beta will be held from 30 March 2022 21:00 PST to 5 April 2022 21:00 PST. The developers have clarified that they are hosting the test on TapTap because of the platform’s accessibility to a community of dedicated gamers.

The format for the test will be simple where applicants will be selected at random after completing a required survey. The game will become available to download by selected players once the test period begins on March 30, 2022, at 21:00 PST. The beta will conclude on April 5, 2022, at 21:00 PST.

Players can will receive in-game currency for any purchases made during beta test

The test version of the game will include 10 songs and 1 DLC pack of 6 additional songs available for purchase. A small section of Journey Mode will also be available for exploration. The beta test version will allow players to do in-game purchases using in-game currency (Stellar Gems). The ability to buy song packs will continue to be the main source of purchases after Rotaeno launches.

The value of all purchases made during the paid beta test will be added to your account as premium currency (Stellar Gems) at a 1:1 rate after the game’s official release. The developers have confirmed that although the closed beta test will be held on TapTap, the game will be available on App Store and Google Play after its full release.
