In a tweet from the official RuneScape Twitter account, it was recently announced that the popular Fantasy Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) is now making its way in all its glory to mobile! The game is up for pre-registration for Android and iOS. Earlier being available for a premium members-only beta, now everyone can pre-register for Runescape Mobile ahead of its global release.
While there’s no official release date yet, the game will be releasing sometime this summer. Now some players might already be aware of the fact that the game has been in beta for three years and was only available to members who were playing the RuneScape subscription but it looks like Jagex is finally ready to open the gates for everyone.
Gameplay Overview
One of the things which we can expect is good graphics and gameplay at par with MMOs on PC. Despite the fact that this version of RuneScape (also known as RuneScape 3) was released back in 2001, it has continued to grow, stay up to date and we already know that it’s pretty well optimized for mobile. Additionally, Runescape Mobile comes with cross-platform support which opens up endless opportunities to enjoy its core gameplay.
The game is coming to mobile in all its entirety with key locations like the medieval city of Burthorpe, the harbors of Catherby, the Wilderness, the Kharidian Desert, and a lot more alongside 28 skills like woodcutting, fishing, hunting, and a bunch of others. There’s also the dragons, rock monsters, serpents, and other foes which you’ll have to take on. Sounds like fun! Along with all that, there are exclusive rewards that would keep increasing and getting better as more people pre-register. With Old School Runescape already being a success in mobile, it is needless to say, the community is more excited than ever to try Runescape on mobile
When can Runescape mobile officially release
All that being said, if you want to get some good rewards and be notified upon the game’s release you can pre-register on the Google Play Store and pre-order on the App Store depending on your device. What’s more, every time a new milestone is reached on the number of pre-registrations, new goodies are unlocked from Softpunk Hairstyle, Magic Leap Teleport, Crux Eqal Sword, a tasty XP boost, and more!
The game’s of course free with In-App Purchases and a membership which gives you access to extra content like quests, locations, and skills. Keep checking this space as we will cover more details as Runescape hits its official release date in the summer and additionally you can always visit the official site for more details.
