Rust Mobile postpones its first closed beta test to December 11, promising a more stable experience

Excited for the CBT?

Story Highlights
  • Rust Mobile is an officially licensed action survival game based on the popular PC title.
  • The test will run for two weeks, and you will receive an email one week prior with download instructions if you're selected.
  • This test is limited and only open to players in America, Europe, and Asia.

Level Infinite, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, has announced the first closed beta test for the action survival title, Rust Mobile, set to launch on Android and iOS in 11 December in North America, Europe, and Asia. This test was initially planned for early November but is now postponed, with recruitment live.

Dive into a deserted island and gather, craft, and build to stay alive

If you’re still unaware, Rust Mobile is an officially licensed survival title based on the hit PC title. Rumors of its development began in January 2024, and Facepunch Studios confirmed it later that year and conducted a 7-day Alpha test, followed by a beta test in China. Pre-registration opened this month.

In this game, you’re dropped on a deserted island with nothing but your wits, where your survival means gathering resources, building shelter, crafting weapons and gear, and facing off wildlife, other players, and even the harsh environment.

Overall, Rust Mobile promises a lot of fun with region-based biomes, open-world experience, permadeath, raiding, crafting, brutal PvP, base building, and sandbox gameplay, a dynamic day-night cycle and weather system, and more.
