Tencent Games has announced a one-week Closed Beta Test (CBT) for their action survival title, Rust Mobile, scheduled to start on April 16, 2025, on Android and iOS in China. The game previously held an Alpha Test in Canada on Android in February 2025. Pre-registration for the CBT is now live.

Rust Mobile, the highly anticipated mobile version of the popular PC title, is currently in development under the Codename: Outpost, officially authorized by Facepunch Studios. Its development details were revealed last year in January, with the original studio acknowledging the project in November 2024.
For those unfamiliar, Rust Mobile is a hardcore survival title that places you on a dangerous, deserted island. You aim to survive by collecting resources, building a shelter, crafting weapons, and exploring the mysterious island, all while tackling wildlife, other survivors, environmental dangers, and more.
How to apply for the Rust Mobile Closed Beta Test
Rust Mobile has opened recruitment for the upcoming Closed Beta Test. You can follow the given steps to apply for the tests:
- Firstly, visit the TapTap CN version on your browser.
- There, search for 失控进化.
- Now, tap on Sign up for the test.
- For pre-registration, you will need a QQ account.
- Fill out the recruitment questionnaire.
- Finally, enter your TapTap ID and QQ account to complete the process.
You have to wait for a week for the announcement to find out if you have qualified for the upcoming test. Recruitment is open until April 13, 2025, with the limited deletion test starting from April 16, 2025. I am excited and hope the global release is just around the corner.
