Viva Games Studios, a Scopely subsidiary known for Guns at Dawn, Soccer Star, and more, has launched early access for its arcade-style RPG, Shadowborn, now available on both Android and iOS.

Shadowborn is a fast-paced arcade-style RPG where whimsical beauty collides with darkness. Set in a richly saturated world, you can pick from unique classes, combine abilities with the multi-class system, and dive into the skill tree to tackle boss fights and stealth missions.
Here, you’ll find peaceful moments like unicorns resting in sunlit glades, only to be followed by ambushes and waves of enemies in shadowy forests. The fast-travel system is a nice touch, making the small but detailed map easier to navigate without tedious backtracking.
Players can unlock secret lore, hidden achievements, and final battles
I’m also excited about the class variety, with options like Swiftblade, Enchanter, Dark Knight, and Shadow Mage, each offering its own depth and combat style. On top of that, you can unlock heirlooms and a retirement system. Replays let you uncover hidden achievements, secret lore, and epic final battles.
Overall, the game looks very promising and engaging, especially with its 3-4 minute bite-sized action, arcade and dual-stick controls, fresh challenges, multi-class system, gear, achievements, solid visuals, and more. It has a clear Diablo-inspired feel to it, and I’m definitely planning to try it out.
