Square Enix, the popular game developer behind games like the Final Fantasy series and the Hitman series is now making yet another mobile game, and have announced the title as Deep Insanity Asylum. The Deep Insanity Project includes a Manga that is already going on, an anime set to drop later this year and a video game for PC and Mobile set to release in September of this year, which actually isn’t too far away. Deep Insanity was trademarked by Square Enix last year and they’ve probably been working on this for a while seeing how the game is just a few months from release.
Deep Insanity Asylum synopsis
The game’s official site has given a storyline overview of Deep Insanity Asylum:
Near Future. Samenai Nemuri and Randolph Syndrome are widespread throughout the globe. The cause seems to be the huge underground world that appeared in Antarctica. What was discovered inside was a heterogeneous group of organisms different from the ground and unknown resources. People are trying to solve Randolph Syndrome and in addition, we will take on the challenge of diving for life and soul in order to obtain huge wealth from the genetic information of biological groups and underground resources.
Along with this, there is a mention of the characters present in the game, details of which as of now, are provided in the site itself.

A very intriguing universe with a lot of space for creativity
Deep Insanity is set in a universe in the year 202X where people go to sleep to never wake up again which has been termed the “Randolph Syndrome” and an underground world called the “Asylum”seems to have emerged in Antarctica in which alien organisms are living.

The number of coma patients has reached 540 million and people are heading into the abyss for answers. The game is going to be set in this very universe which seems to hold a lot of content and a very intriguing and weird story.
That being said, there’s not much other information regarding the game yet aside from the fact that it’s going to drop this September on Android, iOS and PC. With lore like this, it should be pretty interesting to see what Square Enix has in store for players with this game and where this franchise goes as a whole.
