Square Enix has today revealed that they are working on a Fullmetal Alchemist mobile game. The anime is based on ancient alchemy, as the show presents middle age chemistry collaboration with spiritual beliefs. Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric, the two brothers, are the main characters in this series. Square Enix has announced on their 20th anniversary live stream that soon they will launch a Fullmetal Alchemist mobile game for the gaming community.
When will the Fullmetal Alchemist game release
The detailed information on the genre of the game and the characters has not been revealed yet by the devs. As of now, the company has released a teaser of the game and will reveal more information on the game in winter this year. The game will be available on both Android and iOS devices.
The first game of this series was released in 2003 – Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel that was released after the anime series was released. It received decent reviews and was available only on PlayStation 2. But this was only the start, as there were 13 more games on the manga series that followed. All the games were available on one platform at a time, from PlayStation to PSP and Nintendo DS emulators.
Judging by the teaser of the series, the game seems to have a story mode where players will have to cross levels that might impersonate a few of the episodes of the series. There is also a chance for a multiplayer game mode.
But this is not the first time that an anime is going to have a mobile game based on it. Back in 2017, Puzzles and Dragons, which was of a tile-matching puzzle genre and was based on a certain anime. In 2018 Unison League was launched which presented a few characters from the Fullmetal Alchemist anime. Both these mobile games were not officially based on the series. Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile will be the first official mobile game of this legendary anime series that will be coming out on Android and iOS.
