Tencent Games has announced the Resonance Test, a Closed Beta for their open-world MMORPG, Star Resonance, set to begin on April 24, 2025, for Android and PC in China. Based on Bandai Namco’s Blue Protocol, the game previously held a beta test in China and has now opened recruitment.

Star Resonance is an anime-style open-world MMORPG, developed by Shanghai Bokura Network, based on the Blue Protocol IP, which is technically a new game. Originally, Blue Protocol was set for a global launch in 2024, but the plans were canceled, and the game officially shut down in Japan in January 2025.
In this game, you can go on exciting adventures to uncover your origins, battle monsters, clear dungeons, and restore the world of Regnas. You can choose from seven unique classes, along with twelve different combat styles. You can also enjoy parkour, glide across various terrains, and explore freely.
I am mostly excited about its huge character customization, offering over 120 adjustable body features and 250+ options for dyeing and matching outfits. Its rich social elements also look great, from group dances and fireworks festivals to relaxing activities like enjoying a campfire, taking naps, and more.
