As part of the Day of the Devs showcase, independent studio Land & Sea—the BAFTA-nominated development team behind the highly acclaimed Alto’s Adventure and Alto’s Odyssey—just announced their much anticipated new adventure–puzzle game, Summerhill.
A website and Steam page were also launched in conjunction with the announcement, which also featured a teaser trailer. Although the team is actively working on the game, they have not yet provided an official release date.

You play as a young shepherd and their dog in the puzzle-adventure game Summerhill. Together, explore the enigmatic, long-forgotten world that lies beyond your country’s borders to save your sheep. To present a timeless coming-of-age folktale, Summerhill combines calm problem-solving, fluid herding-based action, and beautiful pastoral scenery.
The goal of Summerhill, a brand-new intellectual property, is to advance the subjects that matter most to our studio. There aren’t many people or places that haven’t been influenced in some little manner by the practice of shepherding; this rich history and cultural significance have greatly inspired our team. We wanted to honor this age-old custom and tell a story that could only be told in this way since sheep herding is in many ways in our DNA. We’re thrilled to announce that Todd Baker, a longtime colleague and composer (Monument Valley 2, Alto’s Odyssey), will also be contributing to the project.
