Most of you would probably be very familiar with the superhit mobile RPG known as Summoners War. Well, there’s exciting news for the fans of this highly popular mobile title. Summoners War has been officially released as a comic series. The comic has been titled Summoner’s War: Legacy and is set to be released by Skybound Entertainment.
A breath of fresh air
The new comic promises to be exciting, adding a rich amount of lore to the existing stories present in the games. Written by Justin Jordan and Luca Claretti, the colorful illustrations of the comic have been drawn up by Giovanna Niro.
Although the comic is meant to primarily appeal to the fans of the mobile turn-based game, Skybound Entertainment has said that even newcomers won’t have any trouble diving into these books. This has hinted that those newcomers might be itching to try out the mobile game for themselves after the book!
The first issue for the comic has dropped on April 28th. Priced at around $4, Summoner’s War: Legacy is around 32 pages long so it should be a relatively quick read. The pages are also fully in color, promising a very immersive and entertaining reading experience.

Summoner’s War: Sky Arena is a turn-based mobile RPG that was released all the way back in the year 2014 for iOS and Android devices by a South Korean game developer, Com2Us. The game had garnered a huge following, amassing over 150,000,000 downloads worldwide, as well as over 1 billion dollars in earnings. The players in the game were known as the “Summoners”. Their main task is to defeat a variety of monsters of varying difficulty levels in turn-based combat.
With the game already having such a huge following, it would be interesting to see if the comic does gain success of similar extent.
