Supercell ID to remove account disconnect option from September 1, 2023

Supercell has announced that starting from September 1st this year, it will no longer be possible to disconnect a game account linked to Supercell ID. This information has been communicated via email as well to the majority of players who have linked their game accounts to Supercell’s data-saving feature.

Players might be familiar with the Supercell ID, which is a free service from Supercell helping in enabling connecting game accounts and play across all your mobile devices. Previously, for those who were not fond of the Supercell ID system, there was an option to play without connecting their game account.

But now, with the permanent change going to be implemented where Supercell ID registrations will become binding. This means that once you sign up for Supercell ID, your game account cannot be disconnected. However, it is still possible to modify your Supercell ID email address within the game’s settings before.

To request disconnection from Supercell ID, players can contact Player Support prior to September 1st, 2023. Supercell has stated that the reason for this measure is to ensure the highest level of account security.
