Tencent Games and TiMi Studios have opened test recruitment in China for their upcoming strategy auto-chess title, King’s Chess, which is based on the Honor of Kings IP. Originally announced in November 2022, the game has made significant development progress, even introducing a 100-player mode.
Get ready to battle with HOK characters in Chibi versions in King’s Chess
For those new, King’s Chess is a brand-new casual strategy auto-chess title being developed by the original Honor of Kings team. Similar to MOONTON Games’ Magic Chess: Go Go, it features various HOK characters in an adorable Chibi version, along with new battlefield skills and similar gameplay.
You will get to enjoy your matches in Vientiane City, where your favorite heroes start a new adventure with their chibi designs. Moreover, you will get to try player-exclusive skills and dynamic hero synergy effects, allowing for diverse team formation.
How to take part in the King’s Chess test recruitment
While still in development, we can expect a lot from it, given its HOK roots. One of the most exciting additions is the new 100-player mode, expanding beyond the traditional 8-player format. In this mode, you start with lower initial health, leading to faster eliminations and more compact matches.
The good news is that King’s Chess is going to conduct a new test, and the test recruitment is now open.

- There, click on Qualification Recruitment to join the test.
- Next, fill out the recruitment questionnaire.
- Do note that you can only participate via QQ app login.
