Pocketpair‘s Palworld inspirations on mobile have been plenty, and over the year we have seen more of these titles popping up being announced or even released. However, the inspiration has been so much that Tencent Games’ casual multiplayer party game Party Stars is adding exciting Palworld-like gameplay to the game.
Party Stars is set for a platform for a diverse game experience with the addition of Palworld-like gameplay
Party Stars, previously known as DreamStar and Project: Fun Party in China, entered early access for Android in Canada last year. Launched to rival NetEase Games‘ Eggy Party, since then, it has completed over six months of exciting gameplay. Celebrating this half-anniversary, they revealed something that might be very interesting for Palworld fans.
In a short preview video they shared, they showcased players catching and battling pets. The game world is huge, sprawling across various terrains such as islands, forests, and snowy mountains. Players can even ride on flying pets while exploring and use other weapons while engaging in activities like farming and crafting along with their pets.
With the game developed in China, we can even see traditional Chinese design elements being integrated. The vibrant feel of the map simply explains that they have invested a lot of time in developing this, and might be in their ideas before the early access.

Now, you may be thinking, what’s with Party Stars going for this genre, although it is presented as a casual title? Well, that’s the idea behind the makers, they want to make it a title full of diverse gaming experiences. The game has integrated MOBA gameplay elements from Honor of Kings while adding dungeon hunting inspired by Orcs Must Die.
Party Stars is all set to be a global hit upon release
Tencent’s track record is surely fantastic when it comes to deal-breaking developments within their titles. I had the idea that they announced to push the casual party title, even postponing the highly awaited Assassin’s Creed Jade to 2025. With this, the idea for Tencent is clear, make Party Stars the best game in the genre.
Well, we also had rumors earlier this year that Tencent’s TiMi and Lightspeed Studios are developing mobile games inspired by Palworld, and given it is cited to be “multiple projects”, we can expect more of such standalone Palworld games, which might join Auroria: a playful journey that got a recent release in the SEA regions. TiMi Studios being a part of this project, there’s a high chance that the previous hiring could have been for this game as well.

Now, I have a lot of curious questions in my mind. With Palworld done, what genre next? Shooter? Strategy? A lot of interesting combinations. Before the game is released globally, we are sure to see the game’s developments in the Chinese version, so as usual, I will be giving you all the details needed regarding the same.
