Terraria Official has confirmed that the 1.4 update known as Journey’s End is arriving on 20th October for mobile, tomorrow at the time of writing this article. The update brings huge changes as with any other Terraria update, including new ways to play, quality of life changes, and over 1000 new items to use.
What about other platforms?
The PC update was released a few days ago and the console update is yet to come. Fortunately, the mobile community was given higher priority after the long wait during the 1.3 updates.
If the on-screen controls put you off, a previous update allowed you to connect a controller and play Terraria. If you would much rather use that over the the on-screen controls, you are free to do so. The release date for console is TBA.
What’s new Terraria 1.4 Journey’s End?
As said previously, this 1.4 update brings an enormous number of changes, improvements, and new features to the game. The highlights of the PC update include the Journey/Master mode, Golf, new music, new boss battles, more atmospheric effects and biome backgrounds, improvements to Quality of Life, and tons more.

How do you download the Terraria 1.4 update on mobile?
To get access to the game, you will first need to purchase the game on your platform. It will cost you $4.99 on both IOS and Android. However, considering the amount of content available to explore, that price is well justified.
On the 20th of October, an option to update the app will appear, it is likely to be an update of a relatively large size, due to the amount of content present. Once downloaded, you will be able to enjoy all the new features available to you.
