- The shutdown of the game's servers wasconfirmed via an in-game announcement.
Bethesda Softworks is officially pulling the plug on The Elder Scrolls: Blades, with servers set to shut down on June 30, 2026. The news surfaced via an in-game message, confirming the end of the mobile RPG’s long run for seven years since its first early access testing.
All store items now cost 1 Gem or 1 Sigil, with free rewards given to The Elder Scrolls: Blades players
The Elder Scrolls: Blades is a free-to-play action RPG developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. Designed as a first-person mobile experience, it brought the classic Elder Scrolls formula to handheld devices with its global launch in May 2020, following a year of early access.

Set in a familiar fantasy world of medieval towns, castles, and dungeons, the game places you in the role of a fallen Blades agent returning home. Your objective is to rebuild your destroyed town, taking on quests, rescuing villagers, and gathering materials along the way.
Many players loved the experience, but there was criticism for the monetization. Many players still argue that if not for the reason, they would have invested more time into the title. An offline version is also among the player requests, but the developers haven’t given a hint, so it is unlikely at the time of writing.
As per the notice, from now until shutdown, all in-game store items will be available for just 1 Gem or 1 Sigil, and you will also receive a free bundle of resources to experience the remaining content before servers go offline.

This also marks the second consecutive year a title from the franchise has been discontinued, following the strategy card title The Elder Scrolls: Legends, which shut down on January 30, 2025. Currently, if you want to experience a good medieval simulation title from the franchise, you can jump to The Elder Scrolls: Castles.
