Trevenant joins the Pokemon Unite roster as the next Defender

The popular game keeps expanding its roster

Pokemon UNITE is adding a new pokemon to its roster of defenders. As the newest Pokemon, Trevenant joins the defender class in Pokemon Unite which consists of Greedent, Snorlax, Blastoise, etc. Players will have plenty to keep themselves busy with the Generation VI pokemon joining the game.

Details of Trevenant

Trevenant is a ghost/grass type pokemon who belongs to Generation VI. Its physiology is similar to a tree with bushes and leaves around its hands and head. It uses its roots for walking around and it has a giant red eye.

Trevenant has a gruesome appearance for which looks quite intimidating. The monster is capable of manipulating and controlling all types of trees by using its nervous system. In general, its weakness is attacked by fire-type pokemon which is the general weakness for all grass-type pokemon. However, Pokemon UNITE does not have any class-based strengths or weaknesses until now.

The main job of defenders is to hold the attacking team in the lane. Trevenant can help the defending team by holding lane with its powerful abilities. The final moveset of the pokemon is yet to be revealed to the fans. Probably, much closer to the release or on the release date itself.

When Treveant will release in Pokemon Unite

The Pokemon Company has confirmed the release date as January 20, 2022, with the massive update. The game will go for a 9-hour maintenance break and once the game reopens, players will be able to get their hands on this new Pokemon.
