- TRIBE NINE is a 3D anime-style action RPG set in a dystopian Neo Tokyo.
- All future updates and content, including Chapter 4 and new characters, are cancelled.
- The game will issue refunds after the Support Contract – Revenio ends.
Akatsuki Games Inc. has announced the shutdown of their 3D action RPG, TRIBE NINE, scheduled for November 27, 2025. Based on the beloved IP, the game opened pre-registrations in November 2024 and officially launched on February 20, 2025, only to terminate before even completing a year.
Despite continued efforts, TRIBE NINE will shutdown less than a year after launch
For those unfamiliar, TRIBE NINE is a 3D action RPG with anime-style art, set in Neo Tokyo, a dystopian future. The game lets you explore 23 cities inspired by real locations in Tokyo, form three-person teams, engage in chaotic melee battles, use Tension Cards, and more.
Unfortunately, the devs announced that TRIBE NINE would officially shut down on November 27, 2025. Despite the team’s efforts to deliver a good experience and service, they explained that, “after careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to end the game’s service.“
What’s even worse is that, while the game will be available until the closure date, all scheduled updates and content releases have already been scrapped. This includes Ch. 4 of the story, new features, adjustments, known-issue fixes, and even the planned addition of Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba.
You can use any remaining Enigma Entities until the EOS
Following the announcement, they have disabled the sales of paid items like Enigma Entities and Daily Passes. That said, you can continue to use any remaining Enigma Entities and enjoy the last moments until the game shuts down.
The good news is that you’ll be issued refunds. If you used Paid Enigma Entities to unlock Armed Support and Advanced Support, or purchased Contract Levels for Support Contract – Revenio, you’ll be eligible for refunds once this banner ends.
It’s sad to see such a high-potential title end without even completing a year of service, considering many players loved it. However, many believe that the main issue was its overly generous gacha, with some even believing it should have avoided being a gacha title entirely.
