UltraPlayers, known for Gumballs & Dungeons, Super Snail, and more, has finally announced that their exploration strategy RPG, Hello World, will be showcased at PAX Australia from October 10 to 12. First revealed in 2023, this title went silent for a while before holding a playtest from February to March.

Explore, loot, and manage your stuff in a post-apocalyptic journey

Hello World is a creative blend of inventory management and roguelike RPG elements, set in a post-apocalyptic Earth filled with strange mutations, prehistoric beings, and aliens. You play as the second-in-command of the World Saving Organization’s Eastern Division, Squad Number 3, as you work to protect the Earth.

So, you can freely explore this chaotic, mutated world across randomly generated maps, scavenging loot while also managing your backpack, weapons, and special items. I remember hearing about it back in 2023, when it appeared at PAX Melbourne 2023 and SXSW Sydney 2023, and honestly, it’s good to see it make a comeback after being silent for so long.

Now, what really caught my attention is the idea of commanding your own Guyver squad, where each member is a human fused with an animal, and comes with unique abilities. I also found the sanity mechanics intriguing, as your mental state literally changes based on how the world behaves.
