The summer season for League of Legends: Wild Rift is now over, almost a hundred teams have fought for weeks to win the very first Wild Rift SEA Icon Series Summer Season title in their respective region. However, there is more action up ahead! Each region’s strongest teams have emerged from their respective region and now they are out to compete in a bigger fight, which is the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Summer Super Cup 2021. There will be a total of 8 regions participating including each region’s champions. It will be the very first international esports tournament in the history of Wild Rift. It’s about to happen in a couple more days.

In this article, we’ll talk about everything one needs to know about the Summer Super Cup 2021. which includes a hefty prize pool and big participating teams in South Asia. Moreover, we will also talk about the format of the tournament and have a glance at the schedule.
Wild Rift SEA Summer Super Cup 2021: Schedule
The group stage of the tournament will take place from the 19th of June, 2021 to the 22nd of June, 2021. The playoffs are scheduled to take place from the 25th of June, 2021 to the date of the 27th of June, 2021. All the matches will begin from the time of 2:00 p.m. (GMT+8).
Playoffs schedule
- June 25: Quarterfinals Qualifiers.
- June 26: Quarterfinals.
- June 27: Semifinals, Third Place match and Grand Final.
Regional broadcast partners will be live streaming the event in several languages, alongside the main stream which will take place in English.
Prize Pool
A prize money of $150,000 will be spread among the teams and players in this tournament.

Wild Rift SEA Summer Super Cup 2021 Format
Group Stage

- The 16 teams will be equally distributed between four groups with four teams each.
- There can only be two #1 Seed (Champion of each regional qualifier) in the same group.
- Teams from the same region cannot be drawn into the same group.
- The distribution of teams for the group stage will be held on June 14th, 2021 at 10:00 AM SGT.
- The top three teams from each group will proceed to the playoffs.
Playoffs

- The #1 Seed will automatically proceed to the quarter-finals while the remaining teams will have to compete for a slot in the next round.
- The top four teams will advance to the semi-finals.
- The losing teams from the semi-finals will compete for third place whereas the winning teams will proceed to the grand finals.
Wild Rift SEA Summer Super Cup 2021: Participating teams
After the recently-concluded summer playoffs, each region has ended up with two representatives, which are the finalists. Since there are 8 regions in South East Asia, a total of 16 teams will be participating in the tournament. The 8 regions along its representatives are as follows:
- Vietnam: SBTC Esports, Cerberus Esports
- Singapore: Alliance, Impunity
- Thailand: EVOS, Buriram United
- Philippines: Amihan Esports, Team Secret
- Indonesia: ONIC Esports, Bigetron Infinity
- Malaysia: Berjaya Dragons, Geek Fam
- Taiwan: ONE Team, Flash Wolves
- Hong Kong: MVP, QWQ
