  • Wuthering Waves is collaborating with Netflix's hit anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, based on CD PROJEKT RED’s Cyberpunk 2077.
  • At the moment, not much information about the collaboration is available.

Kuro Games has announced a major collaboration for its popular action RPG, Wuthering Waves, with CD PROJEKT RED‘s beloved Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, scheduled for 2026. This exciting collaboration was unveiled in the Wuwa version 2.3 live stream.

What came as a surprise, Wuthering Waves revealed a big collaboration with Netflix’s successful anime, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which is based on CD PROJEKT RED’s highly popular game, Cyberpunk 2077. It was shared in the end during the 2.3 live stream on April 19, stealing the spotlight.

For those new, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an anime prequel to the game, produced by studio Trigger and CD PROJEKT RED themselves. Despite Cyberpunk 2077’s rocky launch, it still gained massive popularity, and the anime further boosted it.

While not much information is available yet for this crossover, except for the fact that it will arrive in 2026 and is directly in partnership with the CD PROJEKT RED. The expectation is really high among fans, given how big of a collaboration this is going to be.

I hope Edgerunners characters arrive on WuWa, similar to what they did for Cyberpunk 2077 x Fortnite collab. I know, fans will love to see David and Lucy, two of the most popular Edgerunners characters in WuWa. Kuro Games will provide more details soon, so stay tuned in this space!

Plus, the announcement video on YouTube features the iconic “I Really Want to Stay At Your House” song by Rosa Walton, a fan favorite among Edgerunners fans, which is sure to bring that Cyberpunk Edgerunners nostalgia. We can also expect the song to be included as BGM for this upcoming crossover.
