Not only that, the device has custom Keqing-themed ring tones, alarm tones, charging animation, and alerts to spice up the Genshin Impact experience on mobile devices. If you are a big Keqing fan like me, having this phone feels like having a real-life Keqing waifu.

The device is very powerful and capable

OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition mobile phone looks and feels premium. If you are habituated to using a slim phone, this one may look a little bold to you but this should not be a big deal looking at its next-level performance. In comparison to my primary device Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, I found it a little bold but hey, with a little boldness comes great power, at least in this case for me.

The manufacturers are terming the phone’s color as ‘Electro-violet‘, inspired by the Keqing character of Genshin Impact. The design on the phone’s back looks like a perfect blend of modern hardware and the design principles taken from the world of Teyvat.

In terms of display, OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition features a 6.8-inch 1264×2780 LTPO4 AMOLED screen. The high refresh rate of up to 120Hz provides a fluid experience! It adds a nice touch to the overall user experience. The device is decently bright, with 4500 nits of peak HDR brightness with Dolby Vision support. I have used this phone in sunlight, and I have no complaints.

The phone comes with a power-packed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor backed by Adreno 740 GPU. The operating system is Oxygen OS 14 based on Android 14. This is not stock Android, but a very close experience to that. The device packs 16 GB of RAM and a massive 256 GB of storage to fulfill all your gaming needs!

Now talking about the camera, it does fairly well. I would not say, it is the best, but holds up well. In terms of comparison with the latest 2024 flagship models, the device lacks in this part. With its 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor, it is the same as last year’s OnePlus 11 flagship. Here’s a photo for you to look at that was taken in sunlight.

The battery is 5500 mAh with 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging. On light usage, the battery stood up to two days on a single charge! For the performance geeks, the phone scored 1073 on single-core and 4065 on multi-core Geekbench 6 CPU benchmark.

As someone who loves playing Genshin Impact, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition handled gaming during my two weeks of use. Whether I was diving into extensive gaming sessions or just playing casually, the phone performed admirably.

What impressed me the most was its ability to stay cool even after playing demanding games like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Honor of Kings for 3-4 hours straight. I never experienced any heating issues, which made my gaming experience smooth and enjoyable.

Moreover, the battery life of the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition was excellent during gaming sessions. On a full charge, I could easily play for about 4 hours, even while connected to a voice chat. This meant I could dive into the world of Genshin Impact without constantly worrying about battery drain.

The device claims that it loads Genshin Impact in less than 15 seconds and I can confirm that it is actually true. I have tried the HyperRendering test and noticed a significant upgrade in the gameplay experience for Genshin Impact. Despite Spiral Abyss consistently being one of the game’s most challenging endgame activities, with new bosses and mechanics regularly added, I didn’t encounter any performance issues while playing.

One of my favorite characters, Kazuha, stands out not only for his abilities but also for his visually stunning skill effects. However, his skills can be quite demanding on the FPS. With the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact Edition, I was amazed at how smoothly my Spiral Abyss runs went, even with Kazuha’s effects pushing the limits. This phone truly delivered a seamless gaming experience, allowing me to focus on conquering the Abyss without any distractions.

Genshin Impact in future collaborations

This collaboration with Keqing-themed items brought back a flood of memories from my journey in Genshin Impact. I vividly recall the excitement when Keqing’s first skin was leaked and later released, and I couldn’t resist buying it myself due to my admiration for her character and playstyle. It’s amazing to see how far the game has come, especially in terms of cosmetics and skin effects, which have consistently improved in quality over time.

Reflecting on past collaborations like the Halloween-themed Witch skin for Klee or the mesmerizing Red Dead of the Night skin for Diluc, which happens to be my personal favorite with its stunning skill effects and beautiful outfit transformation, I can’t help but imagine future collaborations.
