Gameplay Overview
The story begins when you find yourself in the middle of a mysterious city where your neighbor, Riddle Wood carries out his skeptical plans. Riddle Wood’s brother and sister also play a role in supporting him in devious approaches.
Your mission is to unveil the mysteries that your neighbor is hiding in the name of world domination. The game is full of obstacles, traps, locks, and closed doors for you to figure out. In your journey, You’ll find a mysterious scientist, Howard, and an alien device seller as your friends.
The gameplay involves a series of quests that begin as soon as you enter the game. You need to complete one to receive another and this continues until you’ve completed the mission. A new set of quests will be available for you after you rescue Howard from your neighbor’s house.
Thereafter, for the initial levels, you’ll find yourself finishing quests to move ahead. Later on in the game you can try various dungeons and explore other playstyles. As I’ve mentioned before, the basic gameplay of Dark Riddle 3 involves you going into quests one after another continuously. The game drives the storyline, gameplay, and other important features on the foundation of quests.
The quests take you to even harder challenges where you need to put effort into finding clues and solving puzzles. So, make sure you keep on finishing them and attaining progress in your missions. You can get a hint via coins or watching an ad if the quest seems difficult without any help.
2. Be extremely Sneaky
This is a primary rule when you’re looking to uncover the secrets your neighbor’s hiding. You must be very sneaky and sly in your actions for the neighbor to not notice you. While you’re exploring Riddle Wood’s house, you should also keep an eye out for him in case he catches you.
If the neighbor witnesses you, can try to run past him or throw objects to weaken him. However, it is very unlikely that it will be enough to stop him from attacking you. That is why, I’ve been stressing about not getting caught since the very beginning.
3. Try yourself in Dungeons
Apart from the main quests, there are dungeons for you to try and broaden your adventure in the Strange Hills. You can access them after you’ve completed the task of rescuing Howard safely from the evil neighbor’s house.
After you chat with the smart Hopper scientist, your new quest directs you toward the first unlocked dungeon, Playground. You need to finish the given task. Later when more dungeons unlock, you can enjoy yourself in those and progress side by side. Some of them are Imposter Doors, Doors Strike Back, Bootcamp, and more.
4. Collect Items to use
Throughout your quests, be it rescuing Howard or exploring the playground, you’ll find items to collect for further use. These may include balls, statues, or any other thing you can throw at your enemies to weaken or distract them. You might not feel the need to grab the items while your quests. However, I’d suggest to get as many as you can and stock it up in your backpack. These come in handy in future levels where you need to do much more than just sneaking in and out.
5. Craft Traps and Weapons
After you rescue Howard from your neighbor, Riddle Wood’s house, he takes you to his secret laboratory. While conversing with him, he shows you various experiments he has conducted and you witness a workbench.
The workbench has multiple traps and weapons for you to use against cruel creatures in battles. You must use the workbench in later levels to craft traps and weapons on your own and defeat the enemies. Each has different uses and is very well efficient for thrilling adventures.
