Varka is the newest 5-star Anemo main DPS Claymore user in Genshin Impact, released in Version 6.4. He functioned as a dedicated on-field main DPS in the team and dealt damage with element infusion. Genshin Impact Varka Build Guide: Kit explained
Varka is an on-field Main DPS character who focuses on dealing damage with Anemo and another infused element. Varka kit revolves around his skill, which infuses his claymore with Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo elements depending on the team. If your team has Hydro, Pyro, and Electro elements, then his infused element will be Pyro.
Varka element infusion follows a higher priority to lowest priority: Pyro>Hydro>Electro>Cryo. Pyro has the highest priority, and Cryo has the lowest. Here is a detailed breakdown of her Burst, Skill, and passive.
Elemental Burst (Low level-up priority )
Varka burst deals an AoE attack with Anemo and another infused element. His burst has one of the longest animations in Genshin Impact. His burst animation is 2.5 seconds long, which actually looks cool, but his burst damage is extremely low. Not a good choice for the endgames.
Elemental Skill (Highest level-up priority)
His damage comes from his skill. After using his skill, one of his claymore infused with Anemo, and another with a different element. During this period, he gets 2 special charge attacks infused with 2 different elements and deals massive damage.
Basic Attack (Lowest level-up priority)
Deals physical damage.
Passive Talents
- Dawn Wind’s March: With his passive, he can convert every 1,000 ATK into a 10% Anemo and Elemental DMG bonus based on the infused element. Maximum 25% damage bonus can be obtained that way.
- Wind’s Vanguard: Swirl reactions give stacks, which increase his special attack damage by 7.5%. Maximum 4 Stacks.
- Homebound Wind’s Paean: Every Mondstadt character reduces Varka Skill cool-down by 5%.

Varka can buff himself based on his team. Here are those passive and his Hexerei buffs:
- First Buff: If the Varka team has 2 identical elements, his damage increases to 140% because of “Dawn Wind’s March“passive.
- Second Buff: If the Varka team has another Anemo character other than Varka, his damage increases by another 80%.
- Hexerei Synergy: Varka skill cooldown reduced if the team has 2 Hexerei characters.
Double Pyro Team
It’s Varka best team that deals a lot of damage. In this team, Varka uses his passive Dawn Wind’s March, which increases his damage by 220%. Durin and Venti are sub-dps, and support in this team provides damage and buff. Bennett is a support in this team who provides a huge amount of attack buff.
Double Hydro Team
Another excellent team option for Varka. In this team, he can also use his passive skill, which buffs him a lot. Furina, Yelan, and Mona are supports this team and also deal damage. Jean’s healing will solve Furinas hp consumption mechanism.
F2p Team
This team works pretty well if you don’t have any 5* characters for Varka. Bennett provides buff, and with Xiangling, they trigger Dawn Wind’s March passive skill. Xiangling is our sub-DPS in this team. Sucrose is a Hexrei character, so she can reduce Varka’s skill cooldown and also increase Pyro swirl damage.
Is Varka Worth Pulling in Genshin Impact
It actually depends on your account’s requirements. He is not a pure Anemo DPS. His main damage comes from different element swirl reactions. He is not a strong DPS like the other 6.X DPS, but can be used for different elements DPS. His damage depends a lot on his team. He is not a must-pull character, but a good character for exploration, and damage is decent.
