After the sudden and unforeseen defeat in their first match of Mobile Legends M3 World Championship, Blacklist International was really under the pressure of high expectations. Starting as one of the tournament favorites, nobody could have thought that BTK would beat them in the first round. But after all the speculations, today at the MLBB M3 World Championship finals they proved the matter that they came to win. After a whooping final victory of 4-0 against ONIC PH, Blacklist International made a statement that the code is hard to break and took home $300,000 as the prize money.
Blacklist International was one of the top three most favorite teams to win the championship according to surveys and different online polls. The team was on a roll winning the MPL-PH Season 8 and becoming the runners-up in MPLI 2021.
The team has one of the strongest synergies in the world. With Ohmyv33nus as their support player, everything felt safe for the other members. After being defeated by BTK 2-3 the shaky start didn’t matter for the Philippines team. They continued their winning ways after the first stumble. Defeating the tournament’s most favorite team RRQ Hoshi without losing any game was a mind-bender.
From lower brackets to MLBB M3 World Champions
Soon after their defeat the team unexpectedly came to the dangerous lower bracket zone where a single defeat meant exit from the championship. But even since coming in the lower bracket, they looked mighty like never before. Destroyed every single team in their way.
In the lower bracket final, they took revenge by beating BTK 3-1 and kept the record of not losing to a same team twice. The Ohmyv33nus centered play style and Wise on the jungle role nothing was looking hard for them.
One of the most significant roles of the team was carried out by OHEB, the Filipino Sniper as they call him. He was the most dangerous and highest damage dealer for the team throughout the championship. He got the most number of MVPs in the tournament and also was the MVP of the M3 World Championship final.
Blacklist International repeated the result against ONIC in the final just like MPL PH S8. But here they didn’t let them stand a chance. A total of 4-0 wipe out it was. Only in the third match the competition looked tough where it was a 20 minutes of nerve game. But other than that in every aspect of the game Blacklist International dominated ONIC PH and secured the most comfortable World Championship title till now. Where in both the other editions EVOS and BREN won it the hard way of 4-3 wins.
