Supercell has recently announced their annual Clash of Clans esports event, Clash of Clans World Championship 2021, and the Qualifiers. After the success of Clash of Clans World Championship 2020, clashers from all over the world are geared up for another massive world championship.
What do we know about Clash of Clans World Championship 2021
The Championship is broken into 6 monthly seasons. And each monthly season will have 3 stages. These three stages are as follows:-
- Clan War Leagues
- Monthly Pre-Qualifier
- Monthly Qualifiers
After these monthly seasons, there would be a Last Chance Qualifier which presents a final opportunity for teams to secure a place for themselves in the World Finals with a Golden Ticket.
Clash of Clans World Championship 2021 Format
Clan War League
This is the first stage of each season which will be held during the first 11 days of each month. Clans who finish in Champion Leagues 1-3 would be able to sign up for the Monthly Pre-Qualifiers.
Monthly Pre-Qualifiers would take place towards the middle or end of each monthly season after the Clan War League. In the Monthly Pre-Qualifier teams of 5 will compete in-app in a 2 day, single-elimination competition until only 6 teams remain. Those 6 teams will move onto the monthly qualifiers for that particular month.
The Monthly Qualifier would be a 2 day event towards the end of each season which will be broadcasted and will have a best of one double-elimination format and the winning team will win a Golden Ticket and a place in the World Finals. The team which gets Second Place will get a Silver Ticket which will allow them to participate in the Last Chance Qualifier.
Last Chance Qualifier
The Last Chance Qualifiers will take place after all the Monthly Qualifiers and 6 Silver Ticket Winners from the Monthly Qualifiers will take part in it along with 4 wildcard teams from external tournaments who will compete in a series of bracketed single-elimination matches. The winner of each bracket will move on to the World Finals.
The 8 teams which manage to reach the World Finals will then compete on December 3-5 to win their share of the $1,000,000 prize pool and the title of the World Champion of 2021.
When will Clash of Clans World Championship 2021 start
Get your troops in order and begin your preparations as the road to $1,000,000 and achieving ultimate glory begins May 1st! How to participate in Clash of Clans World Championship 2021
Now that we’ve broken down the tournament format, let’s talk about what you’ll need. You’ll obviously need a device that can run the game. Aside from that, you must meet the minimum age of 13 years or older and have the highest Town Hall level. Clans from Clan War League Champion 1-3 can participate in the Monthly Pre-Qualifier. Your account should be in good standing and follow the game’s ToS. The competition is free to enter.
In order to compete in the Clan War League, you would need a clan of at least 15 members to reach at least Champion 3 in the Clan War League and you can form your team of 5 players from that Clan to participate in the Monthly Pre-Qualifier. Your team will have to be the same moving on into the Monthly Qualifiers. You can check Supercell’s official site for more details on the competition.
