Clash Royale League (CRL) 2023: Schedule, format, prize pool, and more

Clash Royale League 2023, the most prestigious tournament for Clash Royale that will be held in 2023, is finally announced by Supercell, following the end of another successful year in the world of Esports. The tournament will return with a brand-new tournament format and a $900,000 prize pool. Supercell has decided to include some of the most effective aspects of previous years’ Clash Royale League tournaments in this year’s competition.

This year will also mark China’s comeback to the tournament. The 16 best players from the qualifier events that took place all around the year will fight for the prestigious title and wear the crown of the world champion. Starting on the 24th of November 2023, the event will be held offline at Helsinki. After the completion of the Clash Royale League 2023 World Finals, we’ll get to know the champion on the 26th of November 2023.

Clash Royale League 2023: Tournament format

Clash Royale League 2023 will held throughout the entire year. Starting with the monthly tournaments. The golden ticket event will take place just before the World Finals while China will have its qualifier event. The system of choosing the 16 finalists is given below.

Monthly Tournaments

As part of the Clash Royale League, Clash Royale will restart its monthly tournaments in 2023. This system was used for the last time in 2021, at which time, it received widespread acclaim from the community. Beginning on the 6th of February with Path of Legends, the top one thousand players will have the opportunity to compete against one another.

The top eight players will move to each Monthly Finals. Throughout the year, there will be a total of seven monthly tournaments. Players can sign up for these tournaments through the in-game Tournament hub. Winners of the tournaments will be awarded circuit points. The top 7 players with the most circuit points will go to the world finals directly.

Golden Ticket Event

In addition to the Golden Ticket system that was used in the league during the previous season, participants in the tournament will be awarded Competitive Points, according to the places that they finish in during the Monthly Finals.

The Golden Tickets that each winner of the monthly finals receives will serve as their entry into the League Finals. Following the completion of all of the Monthly Tournaments, the top seven players, in terms of total Competitive Points will get the remaining seven slots in the tournament.

World Finals

After the monthly finals and golden ticket event are over, there will be 16 players to participate in the World Finals in Helsinki. Starting with the finalists 16, a double elimination format will follow the BO3 duel matches throughout the whole event. Round 1 winners will move to the upper bracket quarterfinals while the losers will go to the lower bracket. After the upper bracket quarter, the semifinals and finals will take place. The winner of the final will go to the grand finals while the loser will have to play the lower bracket final. And, the winner of this match will head to the grand finals where the ultimate champion will be decided.

China is making its return to Clash Royale League

This year’s World Finals will also see China’s comeback to the league. In addition to the fourteen players who have qualified for the Clash Royale League World Finals 2023, through the Competitive points and the Golden Ticket Event, two Chinese players will also be qualified for the finals, through their competitions in China. These top 16 players from countries all around the globe will compete against one another to determine who is the best player in the world.

Clash Royale League 2023: Schedule

The organizers of the tournament have not yet disclosed the detailed schedule for the tournament. Although, the Monthly Finals will begin on the 6th of February of this year. This year’s World Finals are going to be held from November 24 until November 26. The regular events for CRL 2023 are the monthly finals while exclusive qualifiers will be the Golden Ticket and China qualifier events. The Golden Ticket event took place on the 17th of September 2023.

CRL 2023 Prize pool

The tournament will feature a total prize pool of $1.3 million. Among these, the world finals will have the most amount to share. A whopping $900,000 will be awarded to the players in the world finals. Allocation of share after the World Finals is as follows.
