A total of 18 matches were held in the grand finals. The start did not go well for the champion team. De Muerte was choking on the first day of the grand finals. Four teams could collect over 100 points and the champion took a place among them. With one chicken dinner, the team gathered a total of 103 points.

As the event progressed, the champion team climbed to second place after achieving 159 total points. It reduced the gap between the champion team and the point table leader MadBulls. The winner of the regular season, MadBulls, could not utilize their upper hand of having 78 initial grand finals points.

On the final day of the event, the champion team took the lead on the scoreboard and looked consistent until the final match came. Facing an early elimination made the team tense as MdBulls came out third in the final match. Surprisingly, De Muerte was just 4 points ahead of the following team and became the champion.

De Muerte took a major chunk of the Prize Pool home

Winning the event gives the largest share of the prize money to the champion team. De Muerte was awarded $13,000 while the runner-up took $11,000. Nexus Gaming, the third-placed team, pocketed $9,000, followed by Major Pride in the fourth with $8,000 in their pocket. Zerych from MadBulls became the MVP of the event.

With the trophy in their showcase, De Muerte still hasn’t enough for them as the next big event is here already. The regional championship has 5 slots for the PMGC 2023 and so, a great performance should be put in by the team in order to qualify for the grand event.
