The top 16 players will compete in Shanghai for the championship title

HoYoverse announced the Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Asia Invitational featuring a prize pool of approximately $69,900. Scheduled from January 11 to January 21, 2024, the tournament will bring together the top 16 players from the Dynamic Cup in the People’s Republic of China and three distinct regional tournaments—The Prince Cup in Asia.

These chosen players will gather in Shanghai for the competition. Fans and enthusiasts of Genshin Impact worldwide can spectate the live matches through @AstraCarnival on X, YouTube, and Twitch, as well as @GenshinImpactOfficial on Twitch.

Genius Invokation TCG is a fusion of Genshin Impact’s elements in a card dueling game

In December 2022, the widely embraced tabletop card dueling game of Teyvat, known as Genius Invokation TCG, made its debut as a fresh gameplay feature within Genshin Impact. By merging the distinct elemental combat system of Genshin Impact into a strategic card game, Genius Invokation TCG permits participants to engage in duels against NPCs or other players, leveraging their amassed card decks.

The global tournament, Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup, and the grassroots community competition, Cat’s Tail Gathering, were both inaugurated in 2023.

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Asia Invitational: Tournament Format

The Asia Invitational comprises two primary stages: the group stage and the knockout stage, both following a double-elimination format, where contestants face elimination after their second loss. In the initial group stage, sixteen players are randomly sorted into four groups, competing in best-of-three games from January 11 to 14 to secure eight spots.

The knockout stage, occurring from January 19 to 21, involves the eight advancing players engaging in intense best-of-five matches. The final day features a best-of-seven showdown, determining the champion who claims the trophy and the top prize of $34,900 by outlasting competitors.

From January 11 to January 21, the Genius Invokation TCG Asia Invitational will be live-streamed on @AstraCarnival on X, YouTube, and Twitch. Additionally, on January 20 and 21, viewers can catch matches on @GenshinImpactOfficial on Twitch. Fans and players also have the opportunity to experience the card game within Genshin Impact and explore new cards, NPCs, and duel modes introduced in Version 4.3 following the expansive Fontaine expansion.
