Honor of Kings, the popular action MOBA from Level Infinite is on the verge of conducting its second big event this year. According to the recently published esports roadmap, Honor of Kings Invitational 2024 Season 2 is here with teams from Southeast Asia, Brazil, Turkey, MENA, LATAM, and Europe. On the road to qualifying for the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2024, the event will award a whopping amount as the prize money. In June 2024, the event will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Honor of Kings Invitational 2024 Season 2: Schedule and Format
The title has announced its esports roadmap for 2024 where it said that a whopping $15 million is in the bank for the global events that will take place throughout 2024. As per the announcement, the very first event, Honor of Kings Invitational 2024 Season 1 Istanbul, took place in March 2024. Now, as the year continues to move forward, the second event is here which is Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2.
The tournament will feature teams from Southeast Asia, Brazil, Turkey, MENA, LATAM, and Europe, along with the winner of the Open Series Split One. On the 29th of June, the event will kick off.
In the group stage, single round-robin matches will follow a BO3 format. There will be a group of 4 teams while the other 3 groups will consist of 3 teams each. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the next stage and the Mid-Season Invitational. The Knockout stage will start on the 4th of July 2024 following single elimination and BO5 matches.

A total of 12 teams from different regions of the title will join the event. While the whole list is incomplete due to the ongoing events, here are the teams locked in so far:

Prize Pool
As per the announcement, the event will feature a whopping USD 300,000 prize pool. The champion team will move to the Mid-Season Invitational, taking place during the Esports World Cup in Riyadh this summer. The distribution of the prize pool is as follows.

For fans who will not be able to join the event live, the game will stream the event live on the official handles such as Twitch, YouTube, website, etc.
LGD Gaming wins the event by defeating Team Secret
LGD Gaming Malaysia emerged as the champion of the event, defeating Team Secret 3-2 in the grand finals. As champions, LGD Gaming Malaysia take home the largest share of the USD 300,000 prize pool and will advance to the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason tournament at the Esports World Cup.
In the grand finals, LGD Gaming Malaysia returned from a 0-2 loss at the start of the finals to claim victory. A clean sweep of three consecutive wins placed the team on top of every participant in the event.
