Arena of Valor International Championship (AIC) 2023: Teams, Format, Prize Pool, and more

Get ready for some intense action!

Arena of Valor is going to host the grand event of its esports scene, the Arena of Valor International Championship (AIC) 2023. This is the seventh edition of the event organized under the AIC franchise. The event will feature the best teams from the Garena version only. Thus the size of the event is reduced and the prize pool has decreased a lot. However, this year’s event will commence under the supervision of Garena only. Thus, we won’t see any involvement of Level Infinite or TiMi Studios.

Arena of Valor International Championship (AIC) 2023 will kick off its journey on the 30th of November 2023 and will end on the 24th of December. The offline event will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Arena of Valor International Championship (AIC) 2023: Schedule and Format

There will be two stages in the event. The initial stage which is the Group Stage will kick off on the 30th of November. 12 teams will be divided into two groups of 6 teams each. However, each group can not have more than 2 directly qualified teams from AOG, RPL, and GCS. Moreover, wild card teams will not be in the same group either. Single round-robin matches

From the 14th of December 2023, the Knockout Stage will begin. Teams will play in a double-elimination bracket. The first round will commence in a BO5 format except for the grand finals which will be played in a BO7. The event will end on the 24th of December.

Participating Teams

12 teams will battle each other to lift the crown of the world champion. From different regional events, 10 teams have received direct invitations to the event while the rest two teams will be selected from the wildcard stage. Here is a list of the participants.

The prize pool for the event has decreased this year. A total of $500,000 will be awarded to the teams. The champion team will pocket $200,000. The allocation for the rest of the teams is as follows.

Where to watch

The event will be held offline. But as fans expect to witness the intense battle among the teams, matches will be live-streamed on the official YouTube and Twitch channels of Arena of Valor esports.
