Big news for fans of the Free Fire gaming scene as esports organization LOUD and reputed bank Itau become the latest partners for the 2021 Taça das Favelas Free Fire in Brazil or the Free Fire Favelas Cup 2021, as announced on Itau’s Twitter handle. Read on to know about what this means for one of the biggest esports tournaments in Brazil.
Another step forward for Itau
This isn’t Itau’s first step into the competitive gaming scene. The reputed Brazillian bank first made headlines when they invested in an esports organization known as Hero Base back in May 2021. The investment was the first time the company had sponsored a gaming esports organization and it went on to fund many more competitions and organizations, including LOUD themselves.
All of this is currently part of an ongoing campaign known as “It changes the game” run by Itau. Clearly, Itau sees this as an opportunity to connect more with the general public and particularly, young adults and it certainly could pay off in the long run.

Meanwhile LOUD, the noted Brazilian esports organization which was first founded in the year 2019, has been announced as the official partner for the upcoming tournament. The organization is said to be heavily focusing on the content creation side of things and thus one can expect exclusive content in relation to the upcoming tournament, including organizing show matches as well as boot camps for the winning team.
The Free Fire Favelas Cup 2021 is expected to provide a platform for some of the biggest esports talents in some of the most vulnerable areas of the country. By giving anybody a chance to express themselves on such a grand and global stage, it will certainly be interesting to see what hidden gems this esports tournament can unlock.
