Nova Esports crowned champion of Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL) 2021 Season 3

In what can be arguably said the best final event in the history of PUBG Mobile esports, Nova Esports has been crowned as the champion of the Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL) 2021 Season 3 after they beat The Chosen (TC) in what was a breakneck race to the trophy, the likeness of which hasn’t been seen before. The title race continued into the final match which can very well earn a spot as the best game played in the competitive history of the game.

Nova Esports has been crowned the champion of PEL Finals for the third time and took home $310,236 while The Chosen (TC) and Royal Never Give-up(RNG) took home $77,000 and $62,000 for 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL) 2021 Season 3: As it Happened

On the first day, The Chosen (TC) with a tremendous display of firepower and tactical supremacy clinched the top spot with title rivals Nova being in 13th place among the 15 participating teams. A majority of TC’s dominance is owed to their IGL Suk, who is widely regarded as the best IGL in the game besides the leader of rivals Nova, Jimmy. Wyy from TC also performed very well with him grabbing the top spot on the fragger leaderboard.

As day 2 came, TC went about their business and doubled their points but what was amazing was that Nova had a stellar day which saw them shoot up to the 2nd spot from the 13th, sitting just behind TC. NV Order, arguably the best close quarter player and fragger in PUBG Mobile esports delivered a monstrous performance by grabbing 17 kills in just a single day for Nova at a rate of more than 3 kills per match.

The third day wasn’t as good for either Nova or TC as Royal Never Give-up(RNG) had a good day and came into the title race. This led to Day 3 ending with three teams challenging for the title and all within striking range of each other. As the last day began, so did the gameplay quality increase and stress.

After quick exits from the top 3 in the early matches there came another contender, ShowTime (ST). With a huge game played by NV in the second last game, the competition became even tighter with only 20 points separating the leaders TC with 4th placed ST, which could be easily covered by getting a top 5 finish with a decent number of kills.

As the final match began, the first shock came when TC changed their drop location entirely and dropped in Military Island instead of Georgopool, probably to avoid getting into fights and losing, thus endangering their title chances. But the plan soon backfired when the safe zone shifted in favor of the other title challengers far from TC. In this mishap, TC lost FlowerC, their fragger, and was forced to make a highly risky move to get into the safe zone.

While doing so they ran into none other than 2nd placed Nova and NV Jimmy took down Wyy while Paraboy knocked Suk after a spectacular car chase with NV QC at the wheel. The last remaining member of TC, Alan was soon eliminated as well by ST. Thus it became a test for Nova to outlast the other teams and rack up the points.

But even Nova soon lost 3 of their players except Paraboy, who got cornered by 2 players from SMG. Paraboy managed to kill both and barely survived for a minute more in the span of which 2 teams were eliminated thus securing the victory for Nova in a way that is made for the books.

Conclusion

Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL) 2021 Season 3 has without a doubt been one of the most action-packed tournaments ever. With twists and turns from the very first week itself, it has truly been a treat to watch. Also, 4 AM, the legendary team have regained a bit of their past form after a horrible run last season and in the absence of their old IGL Suk. They’ve looked formidable and confident which is an improvement from their recent performances.

Also, TMG has emerged as a new title-worthy team followed by RSG, both of whom were earlier known to be among the weakest. And last but not least, Paraboy showed once again why he is so widely regarded as the best player of the game after single-handedly winning the title for Nova in the final match. Thus PEL Season 4 which is supposed to begin sometime later will be at a very high stake with so many challengers looking to get their hands on the coveted title.
