PMPL 2021 is gearing up slowly

With the PMPL already underway in countries under the SEA region (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia/Singapore) PUBG Mobile has announced the Season 2 PUBG Mobile Pro League or the PMPL for the EMEA region which consists of 4 sub-regions, that is, Arabia, Turkey, CIS, and Western Europe.

When will PMPL EMEA Season 2 start

The tournament league stages have been scheduled to start on the 6th of September, 2021, and end on the 27th of September 2021 in Arabia and CIS. Meanwhile, Western Europe and Turkey will have their respective PMPL league stage held from the 5th of October 2021 to the 24th of October 2021.

The Finals of the country PMPLs will be held after the league stages and feature the top 16 teams from regular league play. The finals for Arabia and CIS will be held on September 30-October 2, 2021, and October 29-October 31 in Western Europe and Turkey. The PMPL  Season 2 will act as a qualifier for PMPL EMEA Finals and play a vital role in the qualifications for the annual PMGC, which is the highest honor for any PUBG Mobile team in the world.

PMPL EMEA Season 2 : Prize pool and format

The prize pool hasn’t been disclosed as of yet and is expected to be somewhere around the usual 5 or 6 figure amount.

The tournament will follow the usual procedure of all PUBG Mobile competitive tournaments and will be divided into 2 parts – the league stage and the grand finals. In the league stage, all the teams will compete for 2 days and the top 16 teams each week will get to play in the Super Weekends. After 3 weeks, the top 16 teams based only on the Super Weekend rankings will qualify for the Country Finals.

All league matches played in the regular play will only be counted towards the qualification of that team into that respective Super Weekend, where the actual points will be picked up for moving further into the tournament. The top 16 teams based on the 3 Super Weekends will move on to the Country Finals where only one team will come out as the champion. Also, it should be noted that the champions of the league stages will get a direct qualification into the EMEA Finals regardless of their performance in the Country Finals.
