After the conclusion of the PMPL Vietnam Season 3 last April, we are now going into Season 4 of the tournament which is set to take place later this month. It will act as a qualifier for the PMPL SEA Finals alongside PMPL Indonesia, MYSG and Thailand. The top teams will also get a chance to compete in the annual PMGC, the most prestigious PUBG Mobile tournament currently.
PUBG Mobile PMPL Vietnam Season 4: Tournament Format
The tournament will follow the usual procedure of all PUBG Mobile competitive tournaments. It will be divided into 2 parts, the league stage and the grand finals. In the league stage, all the teams will compete for 2 days and the top 16 teams each week will get to play in the Super Weekends. After 3 weeks, the top 16 teams based only on the Super Weekend rankings will qualify for the Country Finals.
The league matches which are played in the regular week will only contribute towards the qualification into the respective Super Weekend, where the top 16 teams from that particular week will participate. After the league stages are over, the top 16 teams with the most points across the 3 Super Weekends will qualify for the Country Finals. Also, the league winners will get the privilege of going into the PMPL SEA Finals regardless of how they perform in the Country Finals.
Schedule
According to PUBG Mobile esports, the tournament will begin on August 24, 2021, and will conclude on September 12. The tournament will include 3 weeks of league play with one Super Weekend each week which will decide the teams which will qualify for the PMPL Vietnam Country Finals and further down the line, the PMPL SEA Finals.

The listed 20 teams will be divided into 5 groups. They will play against each other in a round-robin format. The top 16 teams from every week will get to play in the Super Weekend and increase their point tally in the tournament.
