Clash of Clans introduces Builder Base Bonanza: Time to unlock your 6th Builder if you haven’t already

Clash of Clans has officially launched the Builder Base Bonanza event, and if you have been ignoring your Builder Base for months, this is the perfect excuse to return. The event is basically the Hammer Jam version of Builder Base, massively speeding up progression with huge discounts and faster upgrade times.

For those chasing the coveted 6th Builder (B.O.B.), this may genuinely be the easiest grind Clash of Clans has ever offered. Want to know how? Find out in this space.

Clash of Clans Builder Base Bonanza overview

Running from May 17 to May 31, 2026, the Builder Base Bonanza event reduces both upgrade costs and upgrade times by 50% across almost everything in Builder Base, including buildings, defenses, heroes, Star Laboratory research, and even walls.

On top of the massive discounts, you also get a 4x Builder Base Star Bonus. There are also rotating event tasks every five days that reward useful progression items like Builder Star Jars, Clock Tower Potions, and a Rune of Builder Elixir.

For many players, this event feels like the Builder Base version of Hammer Jam. If you have been delaying upgrades because of long timers or expensive hero levels, this is easily one of the best opportunities to catch up quickly.

The perfect time to unlock the 6th Builder

The biggest reason Builder Bonanza matters is that I see this is the easiest the B.O.B. grind has ever been. Since hero upgrades, troop research, and building timers are all heavily discounted, you can progress through the required tasks much faster than normal.

If you are already close to Builder Hall 9 or have been casually progressing Builder Base for years, now is probably the time to fully commit. Unlocking the 6th Builder remains one of the best and value-added upgrades in Clash of Clans, especially for Home Village progression.

The requirements themselves have not changed with this event, of course, but the event removes a huge amount of the grind, so you can say “6th builder made simple“. The higher bracket of resources, say gearing up or even the combined level 45 objectives for the heroes, are made simple due to price slashing.

Tips and Tricks for Builder Base Bonanza

The best approach during Builder Bonanza is to decide which upgrades you need. For example, for most of the players, getting the 6th builder unlocked will be their target. For the others, it can be other quick hero or troop upgrades, or even cutting short the long duration time.

Next is to plan the shorter upgrades first. With upgrade timers reduced by 50%, builders become available much faster than usual, so planning your next upgrades in advance is extremely important. Keep the longest upgrade at the end to take advantage of the reduced time.

Resource management also matters more during the event because upgrades finish quickly. Make sure you are regularly farming Builder Gold and Builder Elixir so your builders never stay idle. The 4x Star Bonus helps a lot here, and quick attack strategies like securing fast two-stars can speed up farming significantly.

Hero upgrades are another major priority. Since both costs and upgrade times are reduced, this is one of the best opportunities to push Battle Machine and Battle Copter levels aggressively. Even a few extra hero levels during the event can save weeks of grinding later.
