Arena of Valor is wrapping up its 2023 esports year. Arena of Glory Winter 2023 has come to an end and Saigon Phantom is the champion. In the cut-to-throat grand finals, the champion team defeated V Gaming by a scoreline of 4-3 to pocket the champion title as well as a place in the upcoming international event of Arena of Valor, the KIC 2023. Apart from the champion team, the rest of the participants will have to join the Vietnam qualifiers for the KIC 23. On the other hand, the top three teams will directly qualify for the AIC 2023 and the 4th and the 5th placed teams will play the wild card stage of the same event.
Before the final round, 8 teams participated in this esports event aiming at the KIC 2023 as well as the AIC 2023. The event started on the 24th of August and after completing nearly two months of running, it came to an end on the 22nd of October 2023.
Arena of Glory Winter 2023: The champion team’s run on the event
There were four matches in the playoff stage. Saigon Phantom in their first playoff match, fought against V Gaming and won by a scoreline of 4-3. The team then moved to the grand finals. On the other hand, GG Live and Team Flash met each other in the other playoff 2 match where GG Live picked up a win and moved to the 3rd match of the playoff stage where V Gaming was waiting to welcome the team. However, it didn’t go well for GG Live as they lost the match against V Gaming by a score line of 4-1, making V Gaming the opponent of Saigon Phantom in the grand finals.
The champion team took away the first round, while the runner-up took the next one. Then the next four round was full of drama as after the end of them, the score was 3-3. Thus, the final round became the decider and Saigon Phantom nailed it throughout the round. Finally, they managed to pick up a win and lift the champion trophy.
Saigon Phantom grabbed a major bag from the Prize Pool home
The event featured a massive stack of money for the participant teams. A total of 6,000,000,000₫ (almost $251,000) was shared for the teams to grab. The prize distribution of Arena of Glory Winter 2023 is given below.
