With the arrival of 2024, the mobile esports scene is getting prepared to welcome the titles and their respective events to mark another great year for mobile esports. Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) backed event, the Saudi Esports League, announced that it will feature three mobile games in its upcoming 2024 event.
Adding flame to the fire for mobile esports, the 2024 event will deliver significant changes as well. 2 new mobile titles will be featured along with a dedicated women’s league.
More mobile games are to be featured this year than in 2023
The previous edition of the esports league featured PUBG Mobile as the sole mobile esports title. 7 titles were present at the event in 2023 while the Saudi Esports League decided to add six more in 2024, of which two are mobile games. In this year’s event, Call of Duty Mobile (CODM), and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will be featured for the first time.
A new era is on the rise as this inclusion will add more attraction, visitors, and teams to the event. The craze of MOONTON‘s popular MOBA is well known. Besides, Call of Duty Mobile also is at the peak of its esports scene. And, with the global sensation in battle royale, PUBG Mobile, the event will undoubtedly catch the eyes of mobile esports fans around the globe.
Saudi Esports League 2024 will have a separate event dedicated to women’s teams
As soon as the announcement hit the social media handles of the Saudi Esports League, a follow-up announcement rocketed the excitement. The league will arrange a separate women’s tournament side-by-side where four titles will be featured including a mobile event. Only PUBG Mobile will have a dedicated esports event for women, marking a significant step for esports in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Esports League was established in October 2020 by the Saudi Esports Federation. Aiming “to bridge between Saudi Esports clubs and players to the world“, the event set its ultimate goal to reach international forums. So far, the SEF has shown magnificent performance in doing so. With the evolution of Gamers8 to become the Esports World Cup, the SEF seems to be on the right track.
