Six Two Eight (STE) is crowned as the champion of Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL) 2021 Season 4

The Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL) 2021 Season 4 has concluded today with Six Two Eight (STE) crowned as the champion which is also their first win in a grand final stage since the inception of the team. Following a spirited display from all the teams, the tournament was a highly close-ranged one amongst the participating teams until the last match where STE came in clutch courtesy of their star player Yu Yang.

Being the champion, STE won prize money of $386,000 followed by The Chosen (TC) in 2nd place with $142,354 and LGD in 3rd with $82,910. But surprisingly enough the team with the highest earnings is WBG who didn’t even finish top 5 in the finals but made it up with their league stage earning of a whopping $495,893. They were also the league stage winners.

Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL) 2021 Season 4: As it Happened

After a domineering win in the league stages, PEL giants WBG went into the Grand Finals as the favorites to win along with the defending champions Nova. But in the finals, it was none other than STE who went full-throttled into the event with all they had to offer. Led by their star player Shanzhi, who was also adjudged the regular season MVP, STE stopped every team they faced death in their tracks including the mighty super team TC led by arguably the best IGL the game has seen besides Jimmy from Nova.

The whole team stepped up their game to establish a monopoly at the top of the table for the 4 days of the finals. The roster of Shanzhi, Sunan, Daoshi, and Yu Yang fought their way to the top despite being underdogs. But on the final day, the team in 2nd place, TC started gaining ground on STE closing the gap and eventually surpassing them in points after the second last game while Suk worked magic both as a leader and a fragger.

As the match neared its end, it seemed certain that TC would be the champions due to their lead on STE who were left with just one man alive. But in a miraculous turn of events, STE Yu Yang clutched 3 players of TC as well as PAI back to back to get 6 kills and win the Chicken Dinner, edging past TC with only 3 points to spare. Other notable players in the finals were Nova Order and LGD ChengC who put up consistently high numbers for their teams with Order missing out on the coveted MVP title by the narrowest margin.

Apart from the prize pool shared among the teams, here are the individual accolades won by the players who participated in PEL 2021 Season 4.

Three teams will be representing China at the upcoming PMGC 2021

With the conclusion of PEL S4, we have gotten all 40 teams eligible for participation in PMGC 2021 for a prize pool of $6,000,000 in December. The 3 teams representing China are:

  • Nova Esports (NV)

However, this needs to be noted that STE from China and STE from Mongolia are two separate entities and will be participating as two separate teams in this upcoming tournament.
