Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC 2022) is announced with a massive prize pool

Players Can Now Register to Participate in SWC 2022.

The Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC 2022), a competitive esports tournament hosted by Com2uS, the developers of the world-renowned fantasy RPG title Summoners War, has announced its return. Players will compete in competitive bouts against top Summoners from around the world for a chance to win up to $210,000 in cash prizes during the tournament.

The tournament has proven to be a fan favorite, with SWC 2021 breaking records with 56,000 registrations and 1.62 million cumulative views during the live stream of the 2021 World Finals. Fans can watch the preliminary matches live on the official Summoners War Esports YouTube channel this year. In addition, players can participate in two in-game events to commemorate the 8th anniversary of the Summoners War and gain special prizes and incentives.

Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC2022): Prizepool and Schedule

Fans of Summoners War will be able to watch the sixth annual SWC 2022, where the greatest Summoners War players will compete for cash prizes and the chance to win. Players who want to participate can sign up using an in-game banner.

Prize Pool

  • 1st: $100,000 USD
  • 2nd: $20,000 USD
  • 3rd: $10,000 USD

Participants will be selected for the preliminaries based on the World Arena Season 20 and Season 21 records from those that applied to participate. 


  • Participant Registration: June 7, 2022

    • Asia-Pacific: August 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, 26-27
    • Europe: August 6-7, 13
    • Americas: August 20-21, 27
  • World Finals: November 2022

Summoner War celebrates its 8th anniversary with in-game events

In honor of Summoner Wars’ 8th anniversary, players can participate in two special anniversary events:

  • 6★ Legend Rune Craft Event – Starting on June 8 at 7 pm PDT through July 31 at 7:59 am PDT, players can craft two 6★ Legendary Runes with a Rune type and slot number of their choice, along with a power-up +6, in order to earn various rewards and points. Also, players can win eight Valkyrja emojis when they obtain 10,000 points.
  • Special Check-in Gift Event – Starting on June 30, players can check in every day and collect various gifts to celebrate the 8th anniversary. Some of the reward items include a Mystical Scroll x 1, Mana Stone 200,000+ and much more.

Additionally, Com2uS is sponsoring a series of Summoners War meetups called “Summoners War: Tour of Americas” throughout the summer, with the next one taking place on Saturday, June 11 in Los Angeles.

TARS of Asia-Pacific region, became the world champion and claimed the $100,000 grand prize

Taking place on the heels of the highly anticipated North American launch of Summoners War: Chronicles, the franchise’s first-ever cross-platform and cross-progression MMORPG, fandom surrounding Summoners War was at an all time high over the weekend. Over 1.1 million viewers tuned in from around the globe on YouTube and Twitch to watch the Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC2022) World Finals, which was broadcasted in 14 different languages. 

Returning 2021 finalists including TARS, ISMOO and PINKROID~ faced-off against 2022 regional cup finalists, RAIGEKI, DUCHAN, TRUEWHALE, YUMARU and OSSERU in a series of single tournament best of 5 matches for the chance to become the 2022 Summoners War World Arena Championship winner. The fan-favorite player TARS of Asia-Pacific region, became the world champion and claimed the $100,000 grand prize, while second runner up DUCHAN of Asia-Pacific region earned the $20,000 prize and third places ISMOO and PINKROID~  from Europe region earned the $10,000 prize.
