Riot Games has officially announced its entry into the Korean esports scene by the announcement of the first amateur Wild Rift tournament named Wariwari Rumble 2021. The announcement comes as a piece of good news for all the professional players and esports enthusiastic from the Korean wild Rift region who have been eagerly waiting for an official roadmap from Riot games.
Tournament format and Schedule
The tournament will be held in a knockout style format with registrations open for everybody. The registrations for the tournament have already begun from today and will be open till July 30th. The tournament is scheduled to take place from 31st July to 24th August. Players from the South Korean region can register for themselves by clicking here.
Prize pool for Wild Rift Wariwari Rumble 2021
A total of 25 million won ($22,000) has been announced as the grand prize money for the tournament. Apart from the huge prize pool, the top four teams from the tournament will be given the right to advance to the national team selection round (if selected for the national team, they will participate in the World Championship which is expected to be held in November)

All the participating teams in the tournament will be gifted with the following rewards.
- Participants will receive a random skin box from the prisoner shop (first come first serve basis) and 10,000 cash gift vouchers for the kakao webtoon(first come first serve basis).
- If any team manages to secure at least one victory will receive a swag kit power supply (custom smartphone case, grip talk, smartphone strap configuration).
Top tier teams entering the Korean Wild Rift scene
As mentioned before the announcement of the tournament was highly anticipated mainly because of the recent signings of players from top tier teams from the region. At the beginning of this month, Korean Esports giants like T1 and KT Rolster had announced their inaugural roster for Wild Rift
With all the region-specific leagues (such as Icon Series for SEA, Origin Series for MENA, Summoner Series for North America, etc), the Wild Rift Worlds will be an amazing tournament for the fans to watch!
