Brawl Stars has finally kicked off the UNO Challenge, featuring the much-awaited UNO game mode. This limited-time event gives you a chance to unlock the UNO Chester skin for free by completing the challenge. Available until April 17, 2025, the challenge also includes exclusive UNO cosmetics like a Player Icon, Spray, and Pin. Let’s dive into the details of the UNO challenge!
Brawl Stars UNO Challenge Overview
The UNO Challenge is a limited-time event featuring three stages to clear, similar to the Retropolis Challenge format. To obtain the UNO Chester skin for free, you have to complete the entire challenge. Make sure you own the Brawler to use the Skin, or it will be stored in your Skin Bank.
In all three stages, you will be required to win three matches, achieving a total of 9 wins to fully complete the challenge. Along the way, you will unlock a variety of exclusive UNO Cosmetics, including a Player Icon, Spray, and a Pin, along with two Starr Drops per stage, with the grand prize being the Skin.
Brawl Stars UNO game mode overview
This challenge also debuts the new UNO game mode, a limited-time 3v3 mode, that was first announced during the February Brawl Talk. In this mode, you can play your cards by taking them to the discard pile. And just like classic UNO, the first team to run out of cards will win the match.
You can body-block incoming enemy cards and use a variety of Action cards that trigger special effects, like:
- Draw two: Your team members gain 2 power cubes.
- Skip: Your opponents won’t be able to shoot for the next 3 seconds.
- Reverse: With this, you can move your opponents’ cards back to their base.
How to complete the UNO Challenge
The process to complete the challenge is pretty straightforward, requiring you just clear three stages to earn all the rewards. You can progress to the next stage by winning three matches in the previous stage, rewarding you with 2 Star drops and an Exclusive Cosmetic in each stage.
Unlike the previous challenges, in this challenge, you will only compete in the new UNO game mode with three different maps.
Brawl Stars UNO Game Mode: Wild Greens map
For the first map, Carl is a must-pick, as he is a great Brawler at defending and blocking enemy cards. Surge is another good pick, especially to defend your base and to win 1v1 battles. For a tanky choice, you can go for Frank or Buster.
Brawl Stars UNO Game Mode: Reverse Crossing map
Moving onto the Reverse Crossing map, you can pick Carl here as well, thanks to his primary attack and Super. Since this map features water, Brawlers like Juju or Angelo can be effective here by using the terrain to their advantage. For a tanky option, you can pick Ollie or Buster.
Brawl Stars UNO Game Mode: Skipyard map
In the final stage with the Skipyard map, you can try the new hero Lumi, as she is very annoying for the opponents to handle. Stu also performs well as an Assassin here, and Melodie is another great choice. Carl continues to be a worthy pick, or you can try Amber and even Chester himself.

Make sure to complete all three stages of this challenge, as you are getting a Collaboration skin for free as a reward. However, do note that you only get four lives throughout the challenge, so play carefully. If you run out of lives, you can buy additional ones, each costing 9 Gems, provided you have sufficient Gems.
Another good news is that, even if you don’t complete the challenge, you will still have the chance to obtain the UNO Chester skin from the Shop after the event ends on April 17. Plus, all the UNO-themed cosmetics, including the skin, will be available from time to time as special Shop offers until September.
