Brawl Stars Willow Guide: Tips and tricks to master the new brawler

Master the newest brawler in Brawl Stars!

Willow is the latest entry to the Brawl Stars world, and she is not someone to mess with. Willow has already grabbed the top spot in terms of Win Rate among brawlers. By the end of this guide, we will know why Willow is considered “broken”, some brief information, and finally, some tips and tricks to master the brawler in Brawl Stars.

New Brawler: Willow

The latest addition to the list of brawlers is Willow. It is a mythic brawler that boasts superior abilities, but with relatively lesser health and damage input. Willow can shoot a very long range, which puts her at a direct advantage ahead of several brawlers. Her shots create a small fluid on the ground, ‘Lantern’s Curse’ that deals damage to her opponents over time.

As a Controller, Willow damages her enemies to activate her Super, Hex. This special move, when fired towards an enemy brawler, makes them into an ally for a brief period and also completely heals them if they are low on health. While Willow controls the enemy brawler, players can make use of its basic moves such as movement and firing. Players will not be able to control the enemy after 4 seconds or once the enemy brawler’s health goes below 30%.

Star Powers

Willow’s first Star Power, ‘Love is Blind’ affects the enemies who are damaged by the Lantern’s Curse. This Star Power reduces their reload speed. The next Star Power, ‘Obsession’, allows players to control the enemy with the help of their Super while also providing a movement boost to the enemy.

Gadgets

Willow’s Gadgets include Spellbound and Dive. Spellbound allows players to deal with their Lantern’s Curse all at one go. Her second Gadget, the Dive, forces her to stay put and gives her invincibility for a brief period.

Tips and tricks to master Willow in Brawl Stars

  • Having Willow in a team is highly efficient, especially during the current meta as she is a new brawler. Make use of her long-range abilities to take down enemy brawlers from afar.
  • Since Willow has low health in general and an insanely long-range capability for offense, it is highly recommended to play her passively as she could be taken down with ease.
  • Willow’s attacks fill the bar quite faster than some brawlers. This way, players get to use the Super several times. Make sure to convert this trait to an advantage.

Final Thoughts

Willow is currently ‘broken’ inside of Brawl Stars primarily due to her unimaginably strong powers. Her ability to shoot long ranges will come in handy during several game modes such as Gem Grab, Brawl Ball, and so on. Though she comes with severe disadvantages concerning her health, she makes up for it with her abilities.
