Evolutions galore!

Story Highlights
  • This article is dedicated to sharing the complete list of Clash Royale Evolutions this 2025.
  • From the overview to strategies, check out the best decks for each Clash Royale evo.

There’s no denying that the Card Evolution update back in June last year has been one of the most exciting additions to Clash Royale, still going strong in 2025. We have seen so many Card Evolutions throughout this period in Clash Royale, and the numbers don’t seem to be slowing down this 2025 as well.

Each evolved card comes with unique effects, making deck-building even more fun, and I’ll admit, head-scratchy too. Well, on this very note, to keep count of the arrivals, this guide will cover every evo card introduced this year and how they can impact your battles.

List of all Clash Royale Card Evolution released in 2025

1. Dart Goblin

  • Rarity: Rare
  • Number of Cycles: 2
  • Released: Season 67

Overview

The first Evolution arrival of the year came with the Dart Goblin in the Season 67 ‘Runic Mountain’ January 2025 Update. The Dart Goblin Evolution is a nightmare for opponents who have already found this card annoying.

With the Toxic Darts ability, his attacks now apply poison damage over time, creating a hazardous area around each hit. The more he attacks, the stronger the poison becomes, with three different tiers of damage.

Strategies

If you are among the users, then it is safe to say that this evo is pretty awesome, but it does come with its downsides, too. It is great for dealing damage against high HP units or tanks, so you definitely need to protect it with troops ahead of it and not waste the evo cycle.

Pairing him with a Tornado can help spread the poison across multiple units, a trusted formula. Against him, using quick-damage troops like Miner or Bandit can eliminate him before he applies too much poison, and if you have spells, then you need not worry much.

2. Lumberjack

  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Number of Cycles: 1
  • Released: Season 68

Overview

It wouldn’t be wrong if I said that the Lumberjack Evolution is pure chaos, because it has made F2P players fear the Lumberloon strategy even more. This Evo arrived with the Season 68 ‘Lumber Love’ February 2025 Update.

When defeated, he spawns a Rage Ghost, an invisible and untargetable spirit that keeps attacking as long as it remains inside a Rage effect. Unlike the Royal Ghost, this spirit stays invisible while dealing damage, making it extremely difficult to counter, especially when it is near your towers.

Strategies

The Evolved Lumberjack is a strong offensive tool, especially when paired with Balloon or Hog Rider, as the ghost can clear defensive troops while keeping the Rage active. On defense, he is surprisingly effective at shredding tanks and mini-tanks.

However, dealing with his ghost requires careful positioning since luring it out of the Rage zone using bait cards like Skeletons or Goblin Gang can make it disappear before it causes trouble to your towers. Knockback cards, such as The Log or Giant Snowball, can also help push it out of range.

3. Hunter

  • Rarity: Epic
  • Number of Cycles: 2
  • Released: Season 69

Overview

In the Season 69 ‘9th Birthday’ March 2025 Update, the Hunter Evolution made its appearance in the game. It changed the game with its Net Gun ability, which was quite a surprise.

On its first attack, the evolved Hunter fires a net at the nearest troop, disabling its movement and attacks for four seconds. If the target is a flying unit, it is pulled to the ground, and hence, even ground-only troops can attack the trapped unit.

Strategies

The Evolved Hunter is fantastic for shutting down dangerous win conditions like Mega Knight or Lava Hound. Placing him near the bridge can stop a win condition from hitting your towers, so a mini-tank for distraction, plus Hunter is a good combo.

However, he still has a slow attack speed, so if you are defending or even a card user, you know you’ll be susceptible against swarms. To counter him, bait out his Net Gun ability with a cheap unit before sending in your main push.
