Another pack has arrived in eFootball 2026, and this time the spotlight is on the Italian League Guardians. Headlining the pack are three defensive icons: Alessandro Nesta, Giuseppe Bergomi, and goalkeeper Dida.
On paper, this pack leans heavily toward defense, giving your squad a backbone of legendary names who built their careers on shutting down the toughest opponents. But does this defensive trio make the pack worth pulling? Let’s dive in and see how well these guardians can fit into your team.
eFootball 2026 Epic Italian League Guardians Players
Alessandro Nesta
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Destroyer
- Show Time Skill: Aerial Fort and Long-Reach Tackle
My prayers have been answered, we have got the two most important Show Time skills slapped to one single player, and it can’t get any better because we have the best CB in the game, Nesta, being upgraded to one level higher with this one.
Lucky enough to pull him in 20-odd spins, Nesta is cracked. I did know this guy didn’t come with any weakness, and if he had any, this card might have solved everything. His tackling and positioning are top-tier, and I have toned it down; it still doesn’t affect this card.
What makes him even scarier is how effective he is in the air, thanks to his jumping and heading ability. His heading rating is 78, and still, that seems to be in the 90s. That’s Aerial Fort doing its work. Without the cursor on him, he closes down attackers quickly and still rarely gets caught out of position.
The big plus here is his Show Time combo of Aerial Fort and Long-Reach Tackle. It covers both ground and air, which feels like a complete upgrade over someone like Cannavaro, who only got Fortress. In my opinion, he’s the best defender currently, and boy, it does need some time to take the title off him. Maldini, can you do it?
Giuseppe Bergomi
- Position: RB
- Playing Style: Defensive Full-back
- Show Time Skill: Fortress and Long-Reach Tackle
If you dream of playing with CBs who are faster than 95% of the forwards out there, well, look no further than Bergomi. I have already seen players rocking their defense with this guy in the centre, and he’s a hard task to complete because he’s everywhere.
He’s fast, aggressive, and loves getting into duels, making him a nightmare for wingers trying to cut inside. He also feels solid in physical battles, so he’s not the type to get bullied by bigger attackers. He can start attacks at any position, and naturally carries awesome Build Up CB stats.
What makes him stand out is how well-rounded he is. He can overlap when needed, play a decent pass, and still recover in time to defend. His stamina makes him reliable for a full 90 minutes, which is always a big plus for a full-back.
So, the question is, where to use him? I’m sure many go for him to utilize those Speed numbers at CB, but he is also in contention to be the best RB as well. Thuram might still be number uno in that full-back to CB role, followed by Maldini, so it could be an interesting comparison when they get their new cards.
Dida
- Position: RB
- Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper
- Show Time Skill: GK Directing Defense
Just when we thought KONAMI had forgotten there’s a Show Time skill called GK Directing Defense, we get a cracked Dida card with this skill. I’m not too sure if this affects your defense, but still, it is a good security measure to have.
When you look at this card, you can easily say Dida is the big presence you want between the sticks. Tall, commanding, and very quick with his reflexes, all his cards have been really consistent in the game, and this is his best version till now.
One thing to note is that he isn’t the fastest keeper when rushing off his line, so you might not always want him sweeping behind the defense. But when it comes to saving shots, there’s no denying he performs really well. He covers a lot of ground thanks to his height and reach.
Verdict on the eFootball 2026 Epic Italian League Guardians players
I would always be the one who would say go for a pack of defenders, since that’s a pretty rare sight. Here, not only do you get top-of-the-line defenders, you also get a card in Nesta that gets a perfect 10/10 in stats and Show Time skills, which alone fetches a 5-Star rating.
The other two are cherry on top, with Bergomi in contention for the best out of position CB, and Dida is a top-3 offensive keeper here. Overall, the pack screams “spin and try your luck“. I advise you to.
