After a short-lived Harvest Fest event, EA is back with one of the most awaited events of the year. Yes, it is that time of the year again, it is Football Freeze time! 2020 has been a hard year for almost everybody but what can be a more beautiful way than to end this year with FIFA Mobile 21 Football Freeze. In the newest edition of this classic event, you’ll open Frozen Gifts, collect Candy Canes, progress along with the famous Snowflake, and climb up the Slippery Slope.
FIFA Mobile 21 Football Freeze Event Description
- Event Duration: December 9th – January 7th (29 Days)
- Ads: 3 ads daily giving 4 Starry Night Energy per ad
- Energy: Starry Night Energy refreshes 1 per hour with a max of 18
FIFA Mobile 21 Football Freeze Event Flow
Starry Night
In the main Starry Night tab, you will be using your Starry Night Energy to play Skill Games to earn Frozen Gifts. You will be spending 4 Energy per skill game in return for Frozen Gifts. Play through a line of Star Games to earn Frozen Gifts. Hit specific Star Milestones to unlock the next difficulty of Skill Games along with new rewards. Look out for some of the new holiday-themed Skill Games!
Earning Stars from Star Games unlocks extra Gift rewards. Based on how many Stars you get, you can earn various Gold, Elite, Star, and Master Gifts. The number of Gifts from Milestones increases as you progress to harder Skill Games. All of the Milestone rewards are guaranteed, but the amounts you receive are variable.
Note: Losing a Star Game will not return your Starry Night Energy, so be careful.
Frozen Gifts
In this Frozen Gifts chapter, you will be using your hard-earned Gold, Elite, Star, and Master Gifts to exchange for various rewards and in-game resources. Choose between different Frozen Gifts for a variety of rewards. Possible rewards from Frozen Gifts include:
- Resources (Coins, Skill Boosts, Training XP)
- Base Players
- Freeze Currencies
- Freeze Players
- Past Program Players
- Event Icon Player
- Icon Points
- TOTW Tokens
Frozen Gifts will change during the following cycles
- Daily from December 9th – December 24th
- Hourly from December 24th – December 26th
- Twice a day (every 12 hours) from December 26th – December 31st
- Hourly from December 31st – January 1st
- Twice a day (every 12 hours) from January 1st – January 6th
- One last time on January 6th

Candy Cane Lane
Complete the Daily Frozen Quests during Football Freeze to earn Candy Canes. Use Candy Canes in Candy Cane Lane towards Coins, Skill Boosts, Training XP, Rank Shards, or Players.
For every reward you obtain, you get a Snowman Point reward. Use these Snowman Points towards specific Freeze Players. Additionally there are milestones which on completing rewards you with Icons! Spending 8000 Snowman Points rewards you with 93 OVR Laurent Blanc and claiming all the 20 players gives you 98 OVR Prime Icon Gheorghe Hagi (P2P alert!).
Snowflake (Weeks 1 & 3)
You can’t have Football Freeze without a Snowflake! Claim your daily Frozen Points here to progress along the path. Play the Skill Game associated with the node to get your reward. Every Snowflake path focuses on different types of rewards, so you can choose whatever path works for you!
Everyday as you login you will receive 1250 Frozen Points, that is daily what you use in Football Freeze. Remember everything you do here does not carry over, your Frozen Points do not carry over to the next week. So the strategy on this, there is a not a lot of boost this time, so stick to Candy Canes. Make Candy Canes and Snowmen Points your main point of focus, everything else is fodder.
There are some players but if you look at it, you only get 1250 snowflakes for 7 days, so take a look at the whole snowflake map and map it out and decide what you want to claim with those snowflakes.
Slippery Slope (Weeks 2 & 4)
Play increasingly difficult Skill Games and Matches as you work your way up the Slippery Slope. Use Base Stamina to play and earn Penguin Score. There are 15 nodes to play of increasing difficulty combining skill games and matches giving you Penguin Scores.
If you lose the Match or fail the Skill Game, you go all the way back to the bottom of the hill, where you can start all over again. Grind this unlimited mode to earn various rewards and place on the Leaderboard, where you can win themed Emotes, Logos, and Football Freeze Players.

- Redeem them daily from the Snowflake chapter.

- Used to rank users on the Slippery Slope Leaderboard.

FIFA Mobile 21 Football Freeze Event Tips and Tricks
After an eventful Harvest Fest, Football Freeze is a decent event in FIFA Mobile 21. It has a little amount of grind, skill games, and matches to play. So here are our additional tips and tricks to help you get the best from the event. It took us a while to get these answers and calculate everything so let’s explain it here.
Starry Night
First and foremost as usual this is an event energy-based event. So never ever let your energy get filled out. Don’t let your energy refresh out. Never! We are dealing with Starry Night Energy. The energy and stuff are only or here. There are no energy coin packs to buy. Depending on how well you can play the skill game as remember, the skill games are specifically so that when you are done anywhere from 3-9 stars that’s what kind of gifts you get
Expect anywhere from 88 Elite Gifts and 360 Gold Gifts minimum to 88 Star Gifts, 256 Elite Gifts, and 440 Gold Gifts maximum to get the maximum rewards. But again, all of these numbers really only have anything to do with the rewards here are Gifts. None of these has anything to do with Freeze players or anything.
Depending upon how many stars you get in each one, by the time you complete all three, you will be set here for the reward list to unlock and the rewards you get are based on how many stars you claimed by playing those skill games. There is a very slight advantage in replaying the skill game to get your three stars. The advantage is so small, we do not recommend doing it.
Getting your three stars rewards you with a Star Gift which is kind of worth it but not necessarily the efforts of playing the skill games over and over again. Play the three, grab your gift, and move on. That’s it, because as the difficulty increase so does the rewards. Also, the rewards for the specific skill games are terrible, so just claim your gift and get many stars as you get.
Frozen Gifts
The above calculation is just the energy breakdown to just get gifts and further convert them to Frozen Gifts. So it’s important to get the maximum gifts and hold until certain things pop up in the gifts section. What you want to get from the gifts to get the specific players is the Snowman Points and Candy Canes.
That’s what you are looking for Snowman Points and Candy Canes. It’s all about getting the gifts, and then converting them to Candy Canes and Snowmen Points and then converting the Snowman Points in turn for players. It seems a little bit confusing, but as the month goes along and you keep playing, you will be fine.
Candy Cane Lane
The Candy Canes are the important thing. Complete the Daily Quests every day. Transfer the Candy Canes to Snowman Points. You can get more Candy Canes from Frozen Gifts and Snowflake lane.

From the table, it is assured that you can claim a 94 rated player, but, but wait for it, if you are intelligent with your gifts and convert them wisely then there are enough gifts that Ronaldo is possible for free to play. That is a lot of conversions which means the gifts are gonna be there whether or not if you have got the resources to convert them.
But 94 is definitely doable and 95 should be claimed by most players. Ronaldo has some luck enough but could be potentially free to play. That is huge plus also don’t forget if you use 8000 Snowman Points, Blanc is also available on top of it. It is going to be one very fun month.
Thus Ronaldo or Blanc is Free to Play if,
- You complete all the daily quests
- Get the maximum Candy Cane points in the Snowflake
- Exchange all your gifts in Snowman and Candy Cane points
- You have played all the Starry Night skill games and got a minimum of 5-7 stars in all the difficulties
- Just in case get the coin packs
Note: Based on the current announcements made in the FIFA Mobile discord server both Blanc and Ronaldo are now officially F2P
Snowflake
To get the max Candy Canes you will need 4945 points and you need to follow the next steps:
Get the nodes from 1-4 from Northwest, Northeast, South, Southwest, and Southeast. Then you need to get Northwest 6.2 and 7.2, South 7.3, Southwest 5.3, 6.2 and 7.3, and Southeast 5.3.
Slippery Slope
Don’t get the doubler. All it’s doing is saving your time and this is a grinding event with base energy. There is no advantage or anything to stress about on winning the last few matches or replay anything with gems due to the lackluster rewards. The only thing that you want to do with this is to grind your milestones.
There are a lot of milestones for this as shown above. It requires only 2 Base Energy for each skill game/match so it won’t take that much, you are just gonna want to grind it out, claim all of your milestones and then hope for the best in the leaderboard. We wouldn’t recommend wasting a bunch of gems in this event, just use your base stamina. Just play the event, collect your 17,500 milestone, and move on.
FIFA Mobile 21 Football Freeze Players
That’s it the Football Freeze in a nutshell. It is a huge event, a huge event, very exciting players on the range, big masters possible free to play possibly an Icon even! It’s big, it’s really big! There are multiple combinations possible with everyone getting different sets of rewards according to their choice of path. It’s a huge event, lasts 29 days, all through Christmas and New Year. It is gonna be a big epic December thanks to Freeze!
