Epic Games recently announced a special event in Fortnite, called the Rift tour. The event is similar to the musical event held last year featuring Travis Scott. Moreover, this time around the music event will feature the teen pop sensation Ariana Grande. The virtual reality concert is scheduled to take place from August 6th, 2021 to August 8th, 2021. Not only will players get to enjoy a musical performance from a renowned artist, but they also have the opportunity to earn a free Rift Tour umbrella as well as other cosmetics in Fortnite.
Unlocking the Rift Tour Umbrella in Fortnite
Obtaining the Umbrella is a pretty simple task after the players take part in the Rift tour event. The Rift Tour Event will go live on August 6th, 2021 and players can join the concert by hopping inside the corresponding mode in the game. Players must at least join the event once to obtain the free Rift Tour Umbrella.
This is very much similar to the exclusive gliders obtained by players who attended the Travis Scott and Star Wars event. The concert will be conducted in a region-wise format on the servers according to the schedule mentioned below.
- August 6th, 6 PM EST – Americas
- August 7th, 2 PM EST – Global
- August 8th, 12 AM EST – Asia & Oceania
- August 8th, 10 AM EST – Europe & Middle East
- August 8th, 6 PM EST – Americas
More free Rift Tour rewards in store for players
To every Fortnite players’ delight, the Umbrella is not only the cosmetic gift from the event. Until 8th August, players can complete a set of three challenges in the game to further win some exciting gifts. The Challenges are available in regular matches with some great rewards.
